  1. I did two racks of spare ribs yesterday.   Mustard and Earl Campbell's rub.  A little over 2 hours at 225 with an AJ/water spritz every 30-40 minutes.   Wrapped them in tin foil with BBQ sauce as the liquid in the foil and then back on for another 2+ hours.   Unwrapped them and cooked another hour at 250 and they came out great.  Even Macanudo-ette #2 who isn't big rib fan went back for seconds.   Did Rudy's Creamed Corn and some baked beans.   Ate it again for lunch today.   Might even have it all again for dinner.

  2. Cross post from the Gaetz thread:

I had Fox on because I wanted to hear wingnut MTG talk.  After she finished, they went to Gaetz.  He said something along the lines of "Whew, I need a cigarette after how good that was."

Not to defend Trump, but it's not like Alabama has no connection to rocketry and space.  Redstone Army Arsenal in Huntsville is where it all started.  UA Huntsville is actually a pretty decent technical school.

Redstone also harbored a fair number of Nazis, allegedly, so that makes it strangely appropriate.

Sort of kind of.   They have gutted Houston and Cape Canaveral and continue to shove money into Shelbyland because, well, who knows why.

It really depends on the circumstance.  If someone doesn't want to take the vaccine because of a disability (though I don't know what that would be) or because of a bona-fide religious belief, the employer needs to offer a reasonable accommodation.  That could include working from home in certain cases.  But in a lot of cases, that's not feasible.  And permitting an employee into the workplace who poses a direct threat to the health of other employees is not a reasonable accommodation.

But if we're just talking about someone who doesn't want to take the vaccine because of shit they heard on OANN, then I don't think that is legally protected.  And I'd have a hard time coming up with a reason why the employer wouldn't be able to terminate that employee.

There will absolutely need to be health related exceptions.   As it stands right now, I am not able to get the vaccine because of a prior issue with vaccinations.  I can't get flu shots anymore.   The end result could be fatal but if I could get it, I would do so.   Not much of a problem as of now because I'll be able to work from home for the foreseeable future.   But what if I change jobs and am not able to?   What if my current employer decides in July or October that we're all back in the office?

I was JUST about to make that comment.  She's smart.  She's kinda scary.  She doesn't take any shit.  The "smart and confident and comfortable in her own skin" makes her sexy -- I definitely have a type (I married it).

So, yeah, I dig her.  She's awesome.

Yeah, we know who wears the pants in your family.
