Only individuals can contribute to policitical campaigns.  Corporations and organizations can no longer contribute.  They are not people.  That means companies and unions are SOL.  I would also limit the amount any single individual can contribute to something really reasonable, like 3,000 per person per candidate.

Also, you can ONLY contribute where you are REGISTERED to vote.  So, if you live in Houston in the 2nd Congressional District, you can only contribute to President, Texas Senators, and your specific house race.  People in NY, CA, and TX should not be able to influence races in Florida, Washington, etc..

    Here, here.

  2. Someone mentioned no campaigning until 12 weeks out.     Change it to 8 week and prohibit fundraising farther than 6 months out.   And that brings me to my real wish....    Change the term for Reps from 2 years to 4 years.  At 2 years, they are pretty much continually fundraising and campaigning.

I also fully support some kind of district mapping.

Noticed lately that people are just running red lights if traffic isn’t coming the other way. An example was tonight.  Sitting at a stop light on Louisiana and there’s no traffic coming the other way.  Car in front of me just goes.  The light turned green probably 10 seconds later.

Was that wrong?   Should I not have done that?

    What gets more eyeballs?

"DEMOCRATS NEED 23 TO CONTROL THE HOUSE: XX SEATS FLIPPED. KEY RACE ALERT. WE HAVE A PROJECTION!!!!!"

    "X won. Y won. Oh, Z lost."

They could do the first without cheer leading.   Oh, and cut the projection shit.  I swear, more than once they were projecting D winners with less than 10% of the votes cast.   Then, when the margin swung back in the Rs favor, the hang dog look on the studio crews was fabulous.   I guess it was funny to watch but incredibly sad at the same time.
