They're 3 episodes in to 4 about Adolf Eichmann. One of the things pointed out is how Htiler insulated himself from the real decisions. Guys like Heydrich and Eichmann were "in charge" and Hitler could sort of turn a blind eye to what was happening.
During a speech on the Senate floor, he said that he had floated the Guadalupe "dozens of times". I know grease and scum float but doesn't evil usually sink?
There's a movie about the hit on Reinhard Heydrich that I need to see. The Man With the Iron Heart.
For those that dont know the name, he was responsible for the Einsatzgruppen on the eastern front. Arguably the most heinous individual in Hitler's inner circle.
Czech and Slovak commandos took him out in 1942. The reprisals by the Germans killed hundreds if not thousands.
I don't really give a shit what anyone thinks about what I cook on
I have never owned a gas grill. My first grill was an old school Weber and I when that wore out, I bought an offset. I cooked on those until about 15 years ago when I got an BGE (knockoff). Used that until 2020 when I bought a pellet. The pellet is the easiest charcoal/wood cooking I have ever done. It's not terribly hard to get going and the heat up high if I am doing steaks or burgers. Low cooks for ribs and brisket is incredibly easy. The only drawback is being electric.
Second on the Alltrails app. A lot of NPS sites are off line now (Thanks DOGE).
Salida is only 90 minutes from Great Sand Dunes NP. Definitely should check that out. Dune boogie boarding is a blast. There's also a cool waterfall just outside of the park entrance. Zapata Falls. https://www.colorado.com/articles/hidden-colorado-gem-zapata-falls
I've praised Breck as much as anyone. We spent 2+ weeks there in June. Ton of stuff to do locally and within 60-120 minutes. Crested Butte is nice as well but a little remote.
I finally got around to buying a new pellet grill this past weekend. It was a pain in the ass putting it together so I only had time for burgers yesterday but they were great. Ribs are next up once all this rain moves on.
