His point was non-portal development, none of those guys listed were portal players.

This is the part that's weird. Most people forget that we did beat them last year and we managed to bottle Skattebo up, this was their stat line: Our defense was awful last year but it was mainly due to us having a non-existent pass rush and a below average secondary. We did fairly well against the run considering our deficiencies on the D-line. This year I think it would be extremely difficult even for Skattebo.

It still remains to be seen, but it'll be a fun ride. Utah is probably a decent barometer. They're one of the best running teams in the country, their offensive line consistently grades out as one of the best in college football, they have at least 2 first round draft picks on the OL, and we completely manhandled them in their own stadium. The difference this year, at least so far, is that we really pass the eye test. I've watched a lot of Tech football and this team just looks and feels different. We've completely dominated everyone we've played so far in the trenches, and we can run the ball very well. It will be interesting to see how our numbers hold up through the 2nd half of the season: Total offense - 1st Rushing offense - 14th Passing offense - 3rd Total defense - 9th Rushing defense - 1st Passing defense - 41st The main thing I am concerned about moving forward are our pass defense, which honestly hasn't really been tested, as in facing a good, veteran QB with multiple weapons. Kansas sort of fits that bill but only sort of. They have a decent passing offense, but not great. Baylor and TCU have good passing games but we don't play either team. We have good talent in the secondary, they are really good in run support, but they've really just been able to coast so far in the passing game and it's only a matter of time before they get punched in the mouth. We face [probably not 100%] Sam Leavitt this week and he has one of the best WRs in America to throw to, but who else do they have beyond that? Not much, really. The secondary thing is the obvious one: Morton's health. Dude has the absolute worst luck, got his leg rolled up on in the Kansas game in a really awkward way that re-aggravated some calf/ankle issue he's been dealing with. I think he probably could have kept playing, but it's good that we can pull him and keep him out as a precaution because there's not much drop off between him and Hammond. Still, we need him to stay healthy and play well to get where we want to go. We kind of have the same questions as Ohio State, not trying to draw a comparison here between our programs at all, but who have they really played? No shade to Texas, I'm pretty much discounting entirely a week 1 game against a super green Arch Manning that had just been handed the keys facing the defending national champions in their own building. Outside of that game, they have really played nobody at all and there's a chance they won't play another ranked team for the rest of the season unless Michigan turns their season around. It's difficult to know exactly how good they are. Same thing with Oregon, they got physically dominated by the only good team on their schedule so far, in their own building, and the only good team left on their schedule is USC in late November.

Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?

He is a donor, is involved in NIL and was instrumental in our switch to Adidas. Our uniforms are his co-branded apparel and feature his brand logo. -

This is just wrong, actual factual bullshit. They're not even close to the only 2. Pretending it's a T. Boone Pickens or even a Phil Knight situation is just pure cope. Both of those guys could die tomorrow and it would continue unabated. -
Fondly remembering this grim reminder that Zionism is, in fact, Nazism.

Big 12 came out today and admitted this was bullshit and fined KU for lying about it. Someone filed an open records request to get the video from the investigation: I'll save you the pain and suffering of having to watch a 1p video but the TLDR is Tech and the Big 12 office both concluded that a Kansas assistant dropped his own pocket knife on the ground and a Kansas player then picked it up and handed it to Lance Leipold, who then ran over to the ref and showed it to him, which resulted in a 15 yard penalty against Tech. Like I said, Lance Leipold is a whole bitch.

Genuinely lol Nah I read it. You might be right and you might be wrong. But honestly, your take is definitely outdated at the very least. I think the plan is portal heavy again in 2026 and less so moving forward, they have been focusing hard on 2027+ as far as high school recruiting goes. What Cody Campbell thinks doesn't really matter, he's just the one of the many money men. He's not making the decisions, he's not involved in talent evaluation, he's just the most visible dude writing checks (and not even the largest one). The money is effectively immaterial, it's not running out any time soon. These kinds of takes are pretty amusing, not because I think it's dumb or anything, it's just the default take that's been true for years and year so why not now? I can't really fault you for holding onto the same opinion, at least until we prove otherwise. That said, anyone that has actually watched us play and/or understands how our system is set up for us to continue to do what we're doing from a recruiting standpoint has a very different opinion. We pulled 21 transfers out of the portal to overhaul a team that had excellent/talented skill players but lacked talent and depth on defense and on both the O-line and D-lines. 15 have been high impact, and basically every defensive transfer we brought in has been a hit. So far, we're getting an excellent ROI by literally every available metric. We have talent and depth at every position. We have, by every measure, one of the best front sevens in the country, including probably two of the top 3 edge rushers in the country (the Miami dude is probably the best overall) and arguably the best linebacker in the country, etc. It's a pretty decent turnaround from year to year from a team that could barely block and couldn't play defense worth a shit. It was pretty jarring/telling to see one of our starting OTs from last season starting at LT for UH this year and just getting his ass absolutely handed to him the entire game by our D-line. Would we fall flat on our faces against a playoff team from the SEC/B1G/ACC? I think it's pretty unlikely, and so does pretty much everyone else that's paying attention. You mention the "Texas', Bama's, Oregon, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Georgia's", but if we're being honest here it's fairly questionable if half those teams are even good this year. I think we're much more comparable (this season) to a team like Indiana. I also am pretty confident that we are not just better than last year's ASU team, but better by a pretty decent margin. At any rate, there's still half a season to play and we'll certainly see how it all plays out.

Huh, weird! Thanks, I guess it didn't show up when I googled because the name is spelled differently. I'm trying to google all these people out of curiosity. This is all that shows up when I google the name in the Al-Jazeera piece:
-
No I mean I googled the first guy (Samir Ibrahim Mahmoud Abu Nameh) like he said and came up with nothing
-
Can you link that? I tried to google him and came up with nothing other than the Al Jazeera article you linked and several non-English sources just repeating the same article.
-
I read that the one remaining was the dead one somewhere but that was this morning and I could be remembering it wrong.
-
IIRC, the only female hostage that remained after the January exchange is believed to have been dead since 2023.

Anyway back to the news after baby dick made us derail again to explain words to him... https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/hamas-fighters-tighten-grip-gaza-clouding-future-ceasefire-2025-10-14/ It seems to me like part of this agreement should be Israel no longer being able to arbitrarily restrict aid, since this doesn't really punish Hamas, it mainly just punishes the other 2 million people that live there.

Got a link to back up this assertion? I've got some. And be careful, your racism is showing through again, since no one is talking about "the Jews" except you, pussy. https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/cy8k8045nx9o https://www.france24.com/en/middle-east/20250627-slaughter-masquerading-as-aid-msf-slams-us-backed-gaza-humanitarian-foundation https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2025-06-27/ty-article-magazine/.premium/idf-soldiers-ordered-to-shoot-deliberately-at-unarmed-gazans-waiting-for-humanitarian-aid/00000197-ad8e-de01-a39f-ffbe33780000 https://web.archive.org/web/20250710014527/https://apnews.com/article/palestinians-israel-gaza-contractors-aid-distribution-fe27f3ea83e06a09d66424eed7a5d56f https://www.cbsnews.com/news/eyewitness-says-american-subcontractors-at-gaza-aid-sites-fired-at-palestinians/ The number of links I could provide are practically infinite, and funny enough, not a single one of them mention Hamas forced marching civilians into GHF killboxes. Weird lie to tell, you little Nazi piece of shit. The people being killed are almost certainly linked to this piece of shit and other Israeli-funded and armed gangs/militias, who definitely were stealing aid. They are collaborators and I don't give a shit if they die or who kills them. Weirdly enough, we (the United States of America) seem to have given Hamas free reign to do exactly this for a period of time. Sorry, you little bitch, you don't get to claim to give a shit about Palestinian lives now after you spent two years fist pumping every act of slaughter. You're not fooling anybody.
