  1. No shortage of mom’s in yoga pants whiling the day away with bottles of wine. I’m sure they’d include you if you have any Mr. Mom game. We had to have the talk with our daughter about there being bad people in the world who will hurt her for no fault of her own. It bothered her for about two days and then she moved on. Kinda the same discussion about why she has to stay in sight at the park or not just run wild at some trampoline park while he parents obliviously surf the web. She knows we watch her all the time, and the reasons why. We live in a nice area, but child predators are real. Shitty world we live in. My mom still lives in a Mayberry like place where she doesn’t lock her car or her house and it’s not a problem. Those are few and far between anymore.
  2. I understand, but the question wasn’t suggest something to come up with an end to all gun violence in school. It was how to tackle this scenario. I don’t think the mag capacity has anything to do with it working unless it’s an actual automatic weapon. Obviously reloading a 5 shot .38 would make it a lot harder to shoot a lot of people than a 17 round Glock, but it’s not easy to just point and shoot of 20 people are mobbing you. Again, an inelegant solution that might save a few lives. Btw, our school has, or had prior to Covid a group of fathers who volunteered to patrol the campus continually on their off days. Maybe the first to get shot, or a real deterrent. I don’t know.
  3. If time permits. I don’t even know if it’s a thing, but do all classroom doors open inward? I seem to recall many of them opened outward as a kid, but that’s back when the odd T Rex might poke it’s head through the classroom window.
  4. The alternative is everyone gets shot until the shooter runs out of ammo or is debilitated by someone else.
  5. Train the kids and teachers to mob anyone entering who isn’t a police officer. An inelegant solution, but probably the only practical one in that eventuality.
  6. Joe Brady thinks your memory is too short.
  7. I suspect OU will find the money for a good coach exit fees or not.
  8. Well then I’d suggest he’s a perfect fit in Norman.
  9. I wonder if OU would swallow Josh Heupel’s buyout at Tennessee.
  10. I think we got a good look at why our edge guys were third string at their respective schools or walk ons at Texas. Jett Bush might have some value as depth playing not DE. Ovie plays voyeur football. Constantly peeking in the backfield instead of doing his job. I can’t even remember the other guys name, but he was a nonentity on passing downs. Total defensive breakdown. No understanding of team defense, leverage and how doing your job well will help someone else do their job well and make the tackle. I swear PK is only interested in his box players, and someone else has to be making it right with the secondary. It’s the only explanation for the utterly foolish way we deployed our defense time and again with completely tone deaf situational play calling based on down and distance. what is that? 4 times in the last decade where UT has managed to play the worst defense in the history of Texas football?
  11. Boinking wives and daughters is for forgivable, but drinking them is some straight nosferatu crap that can’t be tolerated.
  12. Schooler is sub optimal, but pretty much every safety looks like a total asshole when faced with a quality ball carrier in the open field with a two way go. Our uber shitty front 7 with their pathological avoidance of leverage, tackling and pursuit angles teed this scenario up time and again. So schooler was made to look like a bigger asshole than he is time a and again. I’m sure he took false steps and took bad angles himself, but I never saw him loafing unlike some others keeping him company 25 yards off the LOS.
  13. Functional and predatory. The 109 doesn’t have the lines of a P-51D, but looks the part of a killer. I always liked the German’s paint schemes as well.
  14. Saw that. Interesting times ahead.
  15. That we’ll actually win one of the remaining games. I admit that it would be an extremely Texas move to beat WVU to set up a season ending national embarrassment to KSU to miss a bowl opportunity.
  16. I only know the sound it makes when it stabs someone.
  17. It appears that PK has little input or idea what the back end of his defense is doing on any given down anyway, so he probably wouldn’t even have to interact with Lake other than quipping about the weather in the coaches’ locker room.
  18. Road the jump seat on a 787 last week. Fifi looks remarkably quaint by comparison.
  19. The Bill O’Brien touch cannot be ignored.
  20. I generally agree with the sentiment but would suggest that most football teams are chock full of younger meatheads who might take t to heart.
  21. Estoy aqui para el violar colectivamente.
  22. I don’t disagree, but kick return is only one part of special teams. We’re currently ranked 16th in combined special teams FEI. Kick return is weak. Everything else is pretty strong.
  23. I also think that’s a factor. We look slow and weak.
  24. We’re one deep on defense outside of CB. Actually, we’re not even one deep at LB or S. We don’t have 15 more fresh war daddies sitting on the sideline just waiting to be rolled into the game and thrown against an overmatched offense. They wear down, and get beaten down with the offensive ineptitude. And I’m not even touching on some of the stupidity happening between the headsets. We used to watch this movie all the time when some decent G5 level team would roll into Austin with solid starters, hang with UT for a half as we “with stood the surge” and then steamrolled them as their starters tired. We are, unfortunately, that decent G5 team now.
  25. Maybe not the best look, but he clearly wasn’t trying to hurt the player and or throwing wild haymakers.
