  1. Our standard planning is 400lbs from engine start to TO. Sometimes dispatchers will add extra fuel anticipating long taxis or delays and when it doesn’t happen you’re sometimes over the maximum takeoff for the runway for the given day. With two engines running and maybe the APU as well it doesn’t take long to burn that gas.
  2. The trim of his sheets is strangely satisfying.
  3. Well, doctor, you’ll find that mindless chanting of stupid shit and rabid pride in all things athletics over academics is very much an OU mindset. They’ll fall right in line. I know it irks many, but it’s going to happen, and you can bet your ass the cameras will be poised to catch it.
  4. It must be a pretty shitty feeling going from confident head of a P5 conference trying to navigate an expanded football playoff to discovering that all the power players realize you have no vision and have taken matters into their own hands.
  5. I don’t give a shit about conference pride. My in-laws are all LSU and will cheer on conference mates all season long. They’re a little dismayed that I don’t support Big XII teams like they their SEC brethren. Still, I think it happens. And much like you have trouble finding anyone who was booing during Garret Gilbert’s final UT implosion, it was pretty obvious that 70-80,000+ plus were jeering what was happening. I think the same happens in Dallas. The average guy posting on the message boards is not the average fan. More than a few in the stands are just there to party, and are often well greased for the process. That’s just the UT side. You can count on 40,000 or so mindless inbreds doing it for OU.
  6. I don’t doubt it at all. First of all, it plays quite well with the OU crowd, and don’t think a bunch of rowdy, lightly inebriated 20-30 year olds on the UT side won’t join in. UT message boards are not UT fans at large.
  7. It’s going to happen at the Cotton Bowl in October.
  8. Lowell Versus the Volcano has a ring to it.
  9. So that answers that question. Reinforced concrete, and apparently several flat and straight and miles of it.
  10. And he was right to do so. I’m curious if the specifications submitted in 1950 something suffice for more of the modern combat jets beyond the STOL friendly A-10.
  11. I think it’s a good place to feature attractive females dancing in chaps.
  12. Good point. Let us also not forget the gravity well created by the combined presence of the wallets of certain surly elites who purchased luxury boxes this year.
  13. I think certain segments of the National Highway system were designed to be abnormally level and straight to serve as emergency runways.
  14. I doubt anyone remembers the misalignment when the game is underway. I’m just curious about the reason for it. The field didn’t move. Was there an underlying architectural reason to shift the SEZ two feet to the East?
  15. Boy, there’s a lot to that explanation and it’s been largely covered. One thing we can agree on is that, while the death of the SWC had numerous causes, video killed the radio star.
  16. I stand corrected. The Ruskies put a thinning filter on an X32 photo, and decided to build it.
  17. It’s an interesting question because it’s probably been 50+ years since it’s happened. Kindly go fuck yourself.
  18. I’m sorry, the number google came up with was 6’0 and 174 for Smith whereas Moore is 160. Carry on with your pedantry.
  19. Smith is about 15lbs heavier than both Worthy and Moore. Now, the question, which didn’t make implications about ability, was when was the last time UT sported a pair of 160lb starting WR’s?
  20. When was the last time UT sported of pair of 160lb starters at WR?
  21. Again, I’d love to see a camera angle or image that makes it look right. They didn’t move the field with the new carpet. The fact that the possible alignment issue appears with both the old and the new rug speaks to that. As far as the google image I was looking at some real estate stuff, thought about the satellite image being available for real estate and took a gander at DKR.
  22. You’re looking South. It favors the right side of the H being nearly in line with the stylistic overhangs on that side. Right side is West. I’d love to see a camera angle that makes it look right. Haven’t seen one yet. Stuff happens. ATM had to move their field towards one endzone because the sight-lines were jacked.
  23. You’re right. It slightly favors the West side of the H. Which is more off center.
  24. Goal post is centered on the H. H is not centered on the entrance, and that’s pretty obvious even if you account for off center camera angles.
