  1. Pretty sure the son of God knew what was required of him. Bloodshed during the arrest was pointless. And not replying an eye for an eye has nothing to do with self defense but vengeance. If you want to do the gymnastics to run with that view then that’s fine. But to sit there and let someone break into your house and or assault/kill you and your family isn’t what those verses are getting at imoho. God wasn’t shy about certain acts requiring death in the Old Testament, and he didn’t go out of his way to point out self defense being murder or capital punishment being wrong in his ministry in the New Testament. At best you have some tangental verses that require some squinting to arrive at those conclusions.
  2. Owning a gun for self defense is anti Christian? Guess that German Shepherd I own is also a tool of the devil.
  3. So why is a Hispanic guy buddying up with racist assholes again? Seems counterintuitive.
  4. I was under the impression that LED’s were tossed into the south end zone renovation budget.
  5. Oh imagine all the stadium lights turning off and the longhorn cutout pulsing burnt orange.
  6. The female or purported female hosting the snatch or faux snatch to which his son is enslaved.
  7. We were headed to LAX the other day watching another bus below us headed to LAS. He was either not RVSM approved for a maintenance deferral or the like, or he was sightseeing he Grand Canyon because he was in the low 20’s (if that high) nearly 300 miles out from Vegas. The view was probably spectacular.
  8. Thankful for smart phones in a prior career with metric conversion apps.
  9. I was referring to his ride which I thought was a C130. I’m in the 320 family. Lose two motors and a little fan pops out the bottom as the pilots start sweating.
  10. Well, my current ride tops out at 39,800. The private jet went a lot higher, but I’ve yet to clean a turd, stock a drawer, vacuum and wipe the seats and tables, throw bags or get a rolling rest wake up call in the Airbus. You at least can turn off two motors and still have extra motors to keep flying.
  11. Common as hell. Even altitudes are for westbound aircraft (180-359 degree course). Odd altitudes are for Eastbound aircraft (000-179 degree course). So it is not uncommon to have opposite direction traffic pass directly under or over you by 1,000 feet. Kinda exciting when a 747 buzzes by that close. All the planes are flying the same altimeter setting above 18,000 feet so that everyone is flying the same pressure level, and no altimetry errors occur. There’s also some other rules involved in this airspace called RVSM (reduced vertical separation minimum). Above 41,000 aircraft must be separated by 2,000 feet vertically. So Eastbound altitudes are 41,000, 45,000 and so forth while west is 43,000, and 47,000. Everyone is flying a pressure level above 18,000 feet so we refer to them as flight levels and 36,000 feet would be called FL360. Above FL410 traffic is fairly sparse and you can talk ATC into letting you fly an altitude that is wrong for direction of flight such as maybe heading East at FL430. When you’re really high up in the mid 40’s traffic often appears to be above you before it goes under you due to the curvature of the earth. Hope that helps.
  12. I dunno. Showing the panhandle from a 7-9 mile high perch seems to be the kindest way to present it.
  13. I’m sure Stringfellow Hawk is available.
  14. Pretty much any YouTube Top 10 worst landings vid will have one or two Ryanair contributions.
  15. I wonder if they were hurt by being on the field constantly in poor field position after our own offense shit itself. Every team has patsies on the schedule. Not every team is forced to support a bottom quartile offense in CFB averaging a smooth 2-3 turnovers per game. And that doesn’t count being forced to try unsound thing to make something happen to get the ball back late in games. That’s verbatim from Muschamp after the the loss to UCLA who’s loss you are no doubt referencing with the pistol offense BS. Teams struggling to defend the run give a lot more than 130 some odd yards a game. For reference please note half the UT defenses from the last decade.
  16. Will Mischamp’s 2010 defense gave up 23 points and 300 yards per game ( 161 passing/ 138 rushing) while trying to carry the Mack/Greg retarded version of a power football offense. Every asshole here would grant primae noctis to any DC who could approach those numbers at Texas these days. Please sign me up for more bad Muschamp defense.
  17. Only if he’s not using his crutch as a lance.
  18. I have no recollection of departing on any of the 13’s at MDW now that you mention it. I’ve taken off on 31C countless times in heading free with all the metal in the ground playing merry hell with the AHRS. Looking at the plates I don’t see an obvious reason why other than perhaps landing south is best accommodated by the circle east (think it’s a RNAV now too) for a 22 arrival. The finest ass chewing of my career happened when the primary fuel truck’s brakes failed at Signature MDW. The backup had to be filled with fuel and then service 6 airplanes before us. We were trying to get to DPA to pick up passengers and take them to Columbus for an Ohio State football game. They refused to come to MDW, it was IFR, and the plane had almost no extra fuel onboard for a repo. So, we were really late when all was said and done. Luckily, I was flying with the guy who was usually the Flight Operations Duty Manager up at the puzzle palace. After getting my ass chewed by the owner/passenger who didn’t understand the issues at hand I sent my partner back to deal with him because it was going to end up on his desk anyway. I heard the ass chewing from the flight deck. My partner sat down, looked at me, and said “Yeah, that guys an asshat.” We turned in 15 minutes at MDW (aircraft limitation) and I saved 12 minutes of flight time by going low in the 30’s instead up climbing to the moronosphere. Didn’t matter to that guy. In the end he and his embarrassed by his actions family made the game. They just missed brunch with their son who attended OSU. Two of the biggest aholes I had to deal with were at MDW. The third was in CLE. I don’t think that’s a coincidence, and I don’t miss it a bit.
  19. Absolutely this. It will be nice for a HC hire to actually attempt to assemble an elite staff rather than dragging his G5 buddies into Austin to further prove that they’re G5 coaches.
  20. He isn’t, but it’s no longer a week to week defensive nightmare and shootout.
  21. He was a helluva lot better than solid here. His first defense was good, his second was elite and his third would have been elite if not actively sabotaged by the offense on every down of every game they played. And the Big XII has actually backed off as an offensive league. Outside of OU its a pretty run of the mill spread league with KSU holding out. The really devious MF’ers have left the league or football for one reason or another.
  22. AJ McCarron never dreamed of the kind of production Jones is enjoying. He’s a lot closer to Tua than any of the Jurassic offense worthy signal callers that once inhabited Tuscaloosa.
  23. ORD runways are East/West with two that run SW/NE. Also there’s a rather large body of water directly east of the city that probably creates some sea/land breeze effect. I haven’t noticed landing one direction or the other more prominently at ORD, MDW, PWK, UGN or DPA.
  24. Can we start a “Jumped the Sark” thread?
  25. Best pair of face rapers with jackhammer feet to ever grace a Fox Sports Southwest broadcast imoho.
