  1. Yup. Usually a college resume like that is synonymous with not getting laid.
  2. Typical Mack Brown withstand the surge game.
  3. Kyle Porter has had better evenings.
  4. I was thinking 8 people and tacos from some local hotspot. UPS can bring the heavy metal into Bergstrom if Urban prefers small, unmarked bills.
  5. Different times. CFB is an even bigger deal now financially as well as being the front door to a university. The transfer portal and zero eligibility penalty didn’t exist. One of the 3 or 4 best college football coaches available wasn’t polishing the Fox game day set’s seats with his ass. And Texas doesn’t have a chickenshit, man/turtle hybrid pontificating for months before making s**t hires to deal with.
  6. Georgetown is fine if you’re hopping to the next state over. It’s problematic if your trying to get to a coast with any kind of a load. Or at least that was my experience.
  7. Dotcom callsign is used for private aircraft that want to have their tail number, type and or owner hidden. Watch for one going into Bergstrom or Austin Exec.
  8. I’d put money on them slumming it with Frontier at the international terminal.
  9. Just watch. They’re gonna fire Orgeron’s ass in the next 18 months too.
  10. Harsin’s record is pretty much identical to Peterson’s last few years in Boise. Basically, Peterson wasn’t matching Peterson’s magical few years by the time he headed to Seattle. Harsin has won 64 games in 6 years including 3 conference championships while playing in two others and one Fiesta Bowl. We could do worse, but shit is seriously pear shaped in our coaching search if we get to him on the Rolodex.
  11. They lengthened TEX, and it’s a right turn and downhill to MTJ if things go sideways. Also the pistons can use both runways whereas it’s largely one way in and out for the jets. Makes it easier. We refused to go in there if we couldn’t see the airport by Cones. Its just a gnarly place to play with diminished performance and an abundance of cumulogranite. Like most mountain flying. Set very high personal minimums as the above poster suggested, and let them be your “Ops Specs” so that you too have an easy out for the go/no go decision. I would imagine performance would limit most visits to ski season, but just bypass and proceed direct to Montrose if you go in warm weather imoho. Black Canyon Jet Center (It May be an Atlantic now) has great swag.
  12. The situation at Florida was more akin to Texas than OSU. I think we’d all settle for a MNC in year two. The greater point being that this program isn’t where Strong left it, and Irban should be able to step in and have it rolling relatively quickly.
  13. Ohio State was built and running fine under Tressel. Their record under interim coach Fickel had nothing to do with a talent or culture problem. Urban brought their offense out of the Stone Age and killed it there. Urbs is smart. Rebuilds suck. Better to step into mostly built and win instantly than slog thorough 2-3 intermediate seasons.
  14. There’s no eligibility penalty this year. He could come back as a senior in 2021.
  15. It doesn’t seem that hard. Offer to rewrite the lyrics a touch, and they don’t have to sing it. In return for a dollop of flexibility on their part they get to play for one of the great coaches of all time as he takes UT on a helluva run.
  16. I probably would have if I hadn’t flown a private jet into all the usual mountain places and seen how performance limiting some of those places are even for a Lear. They extended the runways in ASE and TEX so they’re not as challenging as they once were. But damn.
  17. Yeah, If TEX and EGE are on the list. ASE too. MTJ is less critical, but still a challenge.
  18. The US Navy has been patenting some pretty eye opening stuff of late. They’ll see your Terminator 2 tech and raise you Star Wars level stuff in reply if any of the patents have an actual basis in reality.
  19. All the more reason to bring him in. 10 years of success and continuity sounds pretty good right about now.
  20. Saban went the other route and won a bunch of MNC’s at Bama. No need for the third stop. He’s solidified as the GOAT. Urbs’ rep is a bit tarnished. He can’t catch Saban’s number, but he can do something no one else has done. Guys with the kind of competitive drive and desire to win two separate MNC’s don’t have an off switch, and Texas presents the ideal situation that Meyer likes to step into. A largely rebuilt blueblood in need of elite leadership to take the final step. Will his family and health allow it? Idk. I guarantee you it’s killing him to sit and watch Saban and Dabo make him look like an interesting footnote when opportunities abound for one last hurrah.
  21. He doesn’t need money, but I bet he really craves a MNC at a third program to solidify his legacy.
  22. We still use steamers today. Not even talking about the nukes who are going electric btw. Those Marine amphibious assault ships run on steam. About 1200 psi stuff vs the 600 psi power plants used by in WWII.
  23. The boiler doesn’t monitor itself.
  24. Doesn’t matter. We’ve been committed to not trying it for nearly a decade plus.
