  1. Does the size of the base of the damn matter if the amount of water it’s holding back is proportionally larger? I dunno. But it would seem that you’d only need to start the failure to let the water behind do the rest.
  2. Actually, they skipped to the damn and then sunk to somewhere near the base. Or that was the design anyway. The skipping was the only way they could devise to snuggle the weapons up close to the concrete as they sank.
  3. Epps’ struggles with 5’10” DB’s makes me think that his ability to out physical DE’s and OLB’s would be pretty limited to non existent. I guess he could marginally get in the way at times.
  4. I don’t know about that. The bouncing dambuster bombs employed by the British were quite a bit short of a nuclear blast, but the incompressibility of water made for giant hammer blows against the concrete.
  5. Just a used car salesman posing as a secret agent to get laid being shaken down by actual secret agents.
  6. You don’t know enough flight attendants.
  7. Middle of the night + high stress ( military on alert expecting a counter strike) doesn’t usually lead to clarity of thought.
  8. Mushroom cloud letting them nuts hang.
  9. Well, sure. But unlikely.
  10. You implied that it was a set up. It’s a city with millions of people in it. Go out and about any place that big virtually anywhere else at that time of night and you’ll see people with smart phones out filming all kinds of BS.
  11. Yes, it’s unusual to have anyone filming anything late at night in a city of millions. Totally implausible.
  12. I was having a similar discussion with an Air Force Reserve Major who currently flies 130’s as his side hustle. His take was basically that the Herc’s get beat to hell during service, and that they wouldn’t be ideal for the rigors or fire flying. The converted civilian airliners certainly take their share of wear and tear, but most aren’t doing combat landings into unimproved fields with armored vehicles on board.
  13. It just struck me as interesting that the Lord would drop in to the tent of meeting, and act surprised by the actions of the Israelites before showering them with his wrath. As though an omnipotent being wouldn’t know exactly what they were going to do from the beginning. Or the fact that Moses would have to head in for consultations on what to do with legal/ethical situations as they arose as though an omnipotent being wouldn’t know what’s coming, and just go ahead and lay out the minutia before it became a problem. I think Genesis and the Flood is a very fast and loose retelling of “how we got to here” following what was probably a cataclysmic event like a comet strike or something. The story being familiar across continents and different societies kinda points to the s*** hitting the fan and a general global reset taking place where oral tradition was about all that people had left as civilization rebooted.
  14. Honestly, IMO not a real news site. Still rumors IMO. Two things: 1. I never said it was anything more than rumors. 2. There aren’t a lot of real news sites anymore.
  15. The funny thing is that, besides showing what a pain in the ass it was to atone for sin the Old Testament way, I always thought that Exodus/Leviticus portrayed a God something short of omnipotent.
  16. Link on another website. Here it is below: https://www.google.com/amp/s/theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/01/08/iran-refuses-to-hand-over-black-box-from-fatal-boeing-crash-near-tehran-nose-of-sam-missile-discovered-near-crash-site/amp/
  17. Allegedly SA-15 pieces have been found in the suburbs of Tehran. They probably shot it down.
  18. Well, they got 40 years added to their journey for being dicks too if memory serves. I’m a pretty simple creature. I’d probably go ahead and do what the deity living among me said. Thats rule one. Rule two involves what to do when trapped on a high rise and asked if you’re a god by an extra-dimensional being.
  19. The Jewish people were mouthing off to Moses and the Lord while God’s presence was visibly in their camp or or before them every day, and Moses’ face was still glowing from having conversed with the Almighty according to the Old Testament. I’m sure they were being real dicks to the average jackwagon let alone the God that was in their presence and sending plagues upon them or having the ground swallow them up for a ticket straight to Hell when they continually rebelled about their situation.
  20. And NM, like a stripper, is usually best viewed while under the influence alcohol in low light situations.
  21. Well, I mean, say what you will about slavery and the use of human pain and suffering to build societies, but it gets shit done. Also, with regard the stoning of women, maybe we should give it another chance. On the whole I think it’s a mountain/mole hill thing in this day. There are plenty of places and houses of worship that will allow/perform gay marriages. Generally, I think most Christians are in the “ I’m fine with it being legal, but don’t believe it jibes with our interpretation of the Bible” boat.
  22. I’d imagine that most of those openings are filled by now.
  23. Former = teach the position/ fundamentals Latter = empower players to use what they were taught above.
  24. They’re schemers and not teachers. Emmanuel Acho detailed it on one broadcast. Muschamp taught him how to be a linebacker, and then Diaz empowered him to be the linebacker that Muschamp taught him to be. But Diaz and Orlando skipped the step where they taught their charges to be the players they needed to be to succeed in their schemes. The elitiest coaches do both well. The really good ones do the former. The pretty good ones do the latter. And the terrible ones are named Warehime.
  25. He had a RB that couldn’t read a defense to save his soul playing QB and in the Heisman conversation.
