  1. It’s my understanding that AA is trying to hem in NK at DFW by limiting gates. I think they refurbed the “E” island and put a bunch of RJ’s there with push times matching NK’s so as to gum up the works. Airlines are not a high margin industry. Right now even financially strapped companies are able to play reindeer games to ward of competitors. That’ll change at the end of this up cycle. They don’t care if it inconveniences their passengers to do it.
  2. Exceed scheduled block time for the day and usually a pilot contract states that you’ll get paid the higher of block time, guarantee or duty rig. So long taxi times can lead to increased pay.
  3. Also, it seems like when EWR and TEB are landing south. E'erbody landing south. Ah runway 19 at TEB. Mind the towers on right base and don’t overfly the hospital. Not as fun as the ILS 6 circle to 1 though.
  4. Yeah, but the pilots might be over blocking and getting paid. You can thank AA for that btw. They’re trying to squeeze out Spirit by gumming up the alley.
  5. Easier to get more traffic in and out. One plane can be on the takeoff roll while another is still on the landing runway.
  6. It’s LGA. They’re entire setup is to make things hard. Interested to see the new terminals. That place is Mos Eisley right now.
  7. Exactly. The game has passed the Chiz by. His 4-3 Tampa 2 defense with 3 LB (one or two of them covering today’s slots WR’s) would bring a special kind of hilarious failure only duplicated by our current DC. And Vance Bedford. And Manny Diaz.
  8. Tempo and Sam's legs stir our offensive drink, but Coach Runny Eggs is trying to protect his defense by playing Big 10 offense. His insistence on "complimentary offense" tells me that he still doesn't fully comprehend the kind of conference that we're in, and that great offense and so, so defense usually wins the day over slow ass offense protecting an atrocious defense that managed to be so, so for 3 quarters.
  9. Yes. They had 223 yards rushing after we gifted them extra possessions through turnovers etc. it’s not like we couldn’t stop them all game. We couldn’t stop from turning the ball over.
  10. That game is consistently misremembered. CU only had like 330 yards of offense, scored on defense and was gifted extra possessions by our turnovers and Dak Pearson getting mindless on punt. They won. We flat gifted it then.
  11. Technically, it’s referred to as the CJK5H
  12. It’s like the Tampa 2, but upside down.
  13. Okie press, zebra bracket, no back line. Break.
  14. I think Urbs had a pretty successful run after cleansing the coordinators that sucked post Herman. Naturally we have one of them here though he’s good at his current non coordination role.
  15. I live maybe 5 miles SE of AFW, and can hear the air show each day. I can hear NASCAR weekend too. But between the airshow, military practice, FedEx and AA birds headed over for MX we have pretty interesting viewing on any give day.
  16. Maybe instead of 150 above the longhorn on the helmet it could display our defensive ranking. Actually, that plus fire Todd Orlando would make a nice shirt.
  17. Looks like he stumbled into a Texas game on his way to see Ole Miss play.
  18. No. Fuck you for thing to make it about race, and fuck you for shitty reading comprehension.
  19. Quote any such remark. Life’s short. Being a bitch is optional.
  20. That’s because you don’t have the first clue what airmanship is.
  21. The defense looked like ass for most of the game even though it was clear we had some dudes on that side of the ball. We looked like a burgeoning juggernaut offensively.
  22. Yeah, but every team we play save Rice seems to be loaded with slippery dudes when they face our defense.
  23. You can bet your ass they’ll come out trying to force the run and control the clock come hell or high water. This staff is extremely predictable in the responses to losses. Just like I could have told you that Sam would throw a bunch of late cbeckdowns to well covered outlet receivers after throwing a pick against WVU with RoJo standing very lonely in the flat.
  24. No. I’ve seen Tom multiple times with play sheets, extensive notes and talking nonstop on the headset after each play making calls. And not like yesterday standing with arms crossed and occasionally referencing a play sheet. It’s easy to tell the difference. In addition he has continually, until yesterday, referenced himself as the playcaller. He may have surrendered that role to Beck for some reason, but that is a recent event. Tim Beck made it very evident to Tom that Herman needed to be making calls by the Texas Bowl in 2017. Tom as a CEO coach and cursory input into the offense is a sure way to end up at a cougar high level school in a few years. His first and best attribute is that of a play caller.
  25. He wasn't. Tom has had play sheets and notes on him all the time, and is constantly referring to them like the play caller, and not the CEO. Having said that, I don't recall seeing him in that mode on Saturday, and handing the keys back to Beck would both be a mistake and explain our very recent infatuation with the deep pass and reversion to a very basic rushing attack with little to no misdirection.
