  1. Align right with good leverage using great athletes and good shit will happen. I sweater gawd Orlando would have his S blitz start from the locker room if he could figure out a way to make it legal.
  2. Bring 5, put 6 DB's on 4 WR's, force the check down for a moderate gain and give the ball back to your offense with two minutes to play. It's the obvious fucking call. Unless you're Mr. Blitzhappy.
  3. I repeat the words my mother said unto me before I headed out for another high school golf tournament.... ”Maim, kill, destroy.”
  4. Warm kitty, soft kitty, Little ball of fur. Talking shit to surly horns Hur, dur, hurrr.
  5. Let me translate since I married into a family of swamp running coonasses, jackasses and shrimpin’ Chinks. A baw is your basic jackass who is equal parts bro, wannabe country boy and pretentious football fan who wears his designer sunglasses, blue jeans and red wings as an extension of his personality. A baw tries to compensate for the fact that he can’t afford the payments on his jacked up F-250 by strutting around in cammo gear as though he just spent the week filling in as a stuntman in First Blood when the only thing he actually hunted was some Cane’s chicken fingers. He’s the asshole who shows up at the wedding in full LSU tiger gear with a case in back for the reception...as a groomsman. Take away conversations about duck hunting, his latest truck accoutrements or his football team of choice and you’re left with a near vacuous mute that communicates like Sloth with Chunk. Imagine a die hard Tide fine from South Alabama, and then take away any sense of self awareness. Basically, an idiots attempt at being a flashy good old boy. They’ll litter Austin with refuse and general jackassery, but on the bright side most of the city’s road kill will be cleaned from the shoulders and served at their tailgates.
  6. It’s a little known fact that the full, and intentionally shortened, title of Louisiana State University is LSUA&M. And I’m not even joking.
  7. I live in the metroplex. Just spitballing a move to a small town.
  8. I fly planes, and don’t work from home.
  9. That’s the real pisser. Sitting in the waiting room and then in triage for an hour to 90 mins in agony until they finally see you and give you meds. The last time they were insistent that they needed imaging before they’d give me anything. Finally a nurse walks by my shower stall with a bed and gasp “ You need some help!”. Shortly thereafter the IV arrived. I love when they ask me to pee in a cup. If I could or I wouldn’t be in pain. One time the radiologist/tech missed the stone and thy sent me home. Later that morning I was in agony again and right back to the hospital. They picked up the tab for that mistake. Another time i woke up in the middle of a lithotripsy. Feels like the world’s most powerful ruler slapping your back over and over. Threw up and passed back out. It’s not been fun.
  10. It’s unique to the individual. Dehydration is certainly a factor. I have a deficiency that makes me susceptible to them. There’s not just one kind of stone, and the stone type, the reason they want you to catch it or the fragments in the screener, in addition to bloodwork gives the urologist clues as to why you made the stone. The single serving folks are probably just dehydrated. The buffet boys usually have a deficiency. Btw, the pain is generally not the stone scraping its way down your favorite bit of plumbing. It’s the stone blocking a ureter causing the kidney to be pressurized because it can’t empty to the bladder. That’s why you can’t get away from it. And it’s a unique pain that you know what it is even with the first twinges that may precede a full on attack by hours or days.
  11. No, but coveralls abound.
  12. Half of LSU fans will stop watching the game if they are behind for fear they are jinxing their team. The other half will stop watching the game if they are ahead for fear they will jinx their team. All my in laws are LSU alums and die hard fans, and I’ll be damned if any of them watch a full game.
  13. The ureter is the problem area. The plumbing from the bladder down can handle passing that with no problem. My diet is based on the stone type I produce. I was a chronic producer having 7-8 lithotripsies between HS and college. On one occasion I had 11 retained stones on one side and 9 on the other. I’ve only had 2 stones in the 19 years since. I take 1 800 mg chanca piedra daily, and a 1080mg potassium citrate twice daily. My diet requires that I avoid foods high in oxalates. That includes dark colored drinks like coffee, tea, sodas and beer. Potatoes, nuts and nut butters, grains, chocolates and certain green leafy vegetables are also no no’s. Naturally, I have a large daily water intake and lemonade is actually particularly good for me when I want some flavor. Im not completely sworn off the foods above, but consume them in very limited quantities. For example, I’ve got a root beer put aside for my birthday this month. The last soda I had was at the beginning of August, and this will be maybe my 4th of the year. I’ll knock back some mashed potatoes and sweet tea on Thanksgiving, but it will be the first time I’ve had either since New Years. It sucks, but you’ll do what you have to do to avoid that pain.
  14. Stadol is what they have always given me when the initial shot of demerol wore off. I think it’s out of favor now.
  15. Yeah. Tight window. Not quite as I remember. Would have been a miracle snag by the defender.
  16. No, just some conjecture on my part.
  17. I would add that most modern spread offenses run more plays than the John Mackovic O of yesteryear, and that a non carry might mean a lead block or blitz pickup on 10-20% more plays than Ricky ran. So 20 carries, 5 passes and a bunch of backfield collisions might equal the kind of pounding backs received in earlier offensive systems. Just a guess.
  18. Yeah. That’s the angle that I recall. It looked like the kind of pass you get away with against lesser competition, but the QB coach mentions that an LSU LB might reach up and snag it in film review.
  19. I use this as well as a preventative in addition to an altered diet and potassium citrate supplements.
  20. I did all my private stuff in a 152, and still remember feeling like I was hauling a$$ doing 120kts when I bumped up to a 172 for instrument work. Congrats.
  21. Haven’t seen a replay yet, but my recollection is that that pass cleared a LB’s head by not a lot, and he just watched it go by.
  22. The worst part is that they no longer do lithotripsies. Instead they ram a laser up your junk and play Galaga until the stone is gone. You’re out for that, but you’re quite awake when they remove the stint that’s left in after the procedure a week later. Also, the pain post stint removal will rival the stone pain for a number of hours.
  23. Well done Berty.
  24. Herbie’s head on Coach Kline’s body with his trousers dropped revealing a corn dog tattoo. “What Mama don’t know won’t hurt her.” Or perhaps Joe Burrow with Joe Dirt’s mullet looking at Ed O as the Cajun Man: “Ya like to see homos naked?”
  25. ESPN isn't interested in dumping any money or effort into the LHN. So you get Hamster Gallindo bouncing off the walls of the booth routine.
