  1. Quoting something from 2-4 pages ago is a general indication that it’s over.
  2. Quoting a two day old post is a pretty decent indication that everyone is over it.
  3. ....the engineer reports 105% on the reactor is possible, but not recommended....
  4. No, but it’s hard not to notice when the less endowed start slapping their small junk all over the site to act like they’re tough just because they disagree with the take.
  5. Ok. Follow me here. If Ingram had to miss extended time it would be Young, Whitt and a walk-on. Almost certainly one of the two starters would get dinged during the course of a season. Hence one plus a walk-on. There’s no starter going to carry the load for 13 games. Which means a walk- would have to get significant playing time. And then it would fall to which games he were forced to play in.
  6. Oh. Did the coaches hold them out? Go fuck yourself sports expert.
  7. It’s almost like I posted 10-2 in this very thread. And yes, 9-3 to 7-5 are well within the realm of possibility if we don’t have a credible running threat to pair with Sam. Like if we had to play a walk on at RB.
  8. I’ve made it pretty clear that I’m fine with their being hurt during the course of normal practice.it happens. Oh noes, I was wrong about their being injured during the scrimmage. How will I ever weather your small peen BS. If the coaches held them out it was smart. It would also be against the grain of their prior pre season work.
  9. It could be worth three L’s if the normal course of football injuries, particularly to that of RB, played out over the course of a season and we were left with one of Whitt and or Young paired with a walk-on. You can’t come at me with “injuries happen in football” and the. Ignore the high probability that injuries will continue to happen during the actual football season.
  10. Coaches sit guys in practice all the GD time. Like every team at every level.
  11. Another tiny peen on the monitor.
  12. It’s amazing that some of you have a really hard grasping two concepts at once. “Injuries happen, it’s football” can coexist with “protect your limited assets”. Alabama has 4-5 stars waiting in line at every position on the field. There’s probably 3-4 all everything players waiting in the wings to replace Sanders. If he was even a starter. I don’t follow the Tide. We started fall ball with two legitimate RB’s, a JAG and a stain glass window. So really we had two guys we’d trust to play starter minutes in any given game. Two. With that in mind you might consider protecting the best one of the two, and the one with actual starting experience in the offense within reason. If it’s a non contact kind of thing you shrug your shoulders and flip off Lady Luck. But don’t step on your own dick if you don’t have to. I hope both players are back to full strength by the start of the season or LSU at the worst.
  13. There you go. Slap that tiny peen against the monitor if it makes you feel better.
  14. You know, you’re right, and I seem to have addressed that above. But given that this is the third consecutive year that this has happened, and that it happened on a scrimmage day I have a better than fair shot of being right. It’s possible that these are both non contact issues, and, as I said above, that’s a trade off you make at a thing position. But It’s probable that both happened in the scrimmage. I know, it’s easy to shout “big pussy” or “we won’t be able to tackle in October if we don’t beat up key players in August”. That’s fine. Coaches once handed out salt tablets and restricted water intake too. It’s probable that both injuries are minor and will have both players back by the season if not large portions of the season. But it’s also just as possible that we see some 5’4” walk-on getting snaps against LSU if Ingram’s injury lingers.
  15. There’s the neanderthalic surly we all know and love.
  16. I see reading and comprehension of that subject matter isn’t your strong suit.
  17. I figured 10-2 for the regular season because of depth and experience issues at OT, RB and LB, and because Herman hasn’t shown the ability to have his team consistently ready to beat a scrub or two each season. 2020 is the year that this thing really comes together.
  18. I made some reference to that with Connor Williams. It’s a balance. It’s be nice not to sacrifice the season to reassess that balance going forward. We’ll see where the injuries take us. Sterns’ loss won’t sabotage the season. Ingram bing out for any extended period hurts us badly starting in week two.
  19. Herman is as guilty of doing stupid shit as the next guy. Remember that year where he had to reassign his whole offensive staff because he made some poor hires/coaching assignments? Yeah. That was last year. He does seem to learn from most of his mistakes. I’ll give him that. And no, I wouldn’t fault the coaches for a guy tweaking a knee or ankle in non contact drills. Because that’s a reasonable ask of a thin position group. Less so when we’re hurting our own guys at positions where we can ill afford a loss in the name o physicality. Like I said, beat each other up when we’ve got depth. However, one live scrimmage making the physicality difference or preparing another unit to tackle elite backs during the season. Yeah. I don’t buy that. Particularly when we’re turning to a walk-on if any other thing happens with that position group.
  20. It won’t matter a lick if they are or aren’t if we’ve got some walk-on in the game at RB because we made sure to tackle our thin RB group to the ground in a scrimmage. It’s a circular argument. There’s a balance. Again, knock people’s dicks in the dirt when we have depth. Sterns is a survivable loss. Ingram’s loss is probably worth a L or three on the schedule.
  21. Fify. We’re literally one injury of any kind away from a walk-on seeing snaps at RB.
  22. Wanna tackle a WR? Knock his ass down. Wanna tackle a RB when we only have three on the roster? And only two of those are meaningful contributors? Maybe we should be smarter. Again, I’m all for physical practices and all our scrimmages. But gotdam, there are certain positions we can’t afford to lose. I assure you Sam wasn’t tackled to the ground. And for the same reason.
  23. Maybe it’s folly to have all out practices when the roster still isn’t loaded for bear. We keep losing key cogs with little depth behind them each preseason. Got 4 ballers in the RB room? Let’s go make snot bubbles. Have 3 scholly RB’s, one decent LT, or I can’t remember who this happened to last year? And perhaps we should seek to protect that position a bit. Hopefully the prognosis is good.
