  1. No, I live in the real world where words like invasion don't flip me the fuck out.
  2. One crazy person does not a national white supremacy movement make.
  3. Oh GAWD. Invasion...gasp. Infest...oh lordy, this is the big one...Get a fucking grip. Something like 10% of the people in this country are here illegally and largely undocumented. He's not wrong, but it's hardly go shoot every brown bastard you see language unless you are a crazy.
  4. It's going to have to be something a lot stronger than "if you don't like it here you can leave". And if it were stronger than that it would be all over the newspapers, news, news feeds, and not just fringe political thinkers and their continual the sky is falling shrill shill.
  5. I'm not being willfully ignorant. I no more hang on Trump's every word any more than I hung on Obama's. But when a person or persons start spouting white supermacy/nationalism, brown people are targets, low grade civil war in 2019? I know you're a fringe thinker, and quite frankly need to misinterpret the comments.
  6. In other words, he was crazy.
  7. Enjoy crazy land.
  8. Thank you for acknowledging that you're batshit crazy. There's an echo chamber awaiting your comments.
  9. I don't tweet. I don't have a twitter account. I don't spend a lot of time paying attention to the absolute garbage that issues forth from the President on any given day. But I am pretty sure that anything he's said that makes you think of white nationalism is being grossly misinterpreted to fit your needs. He says a lot of stupid shit. Everyday. In fact, I'd prefer it if he'd just shut up, because I agree with some of his policies, but can't stand him as a communicator. Btw, the white nationalism, brown people are targets, we're in a civil war hyperbole is a pretty sure way to lose the next election. It's batshit crazy and doesn't play well with the non fringe members of you party.
  10. They're not widespread. You're tilting at windmills. Let's pretend for a moment that there's 10 million hardcore White nationalists in the county. There's not. But even so that's like 3% of the population.
  11. You can’t even, because you can’t be bothered to read what was posted. I said banning them isn’t realistic, and that there isn’t the political support or spine to do it. Not that it wouldn’t lower the number of mass shooting events. So again, come forth with something that can be done, because your obtuse “I can’t even”, all or nothing position gets you no traction on the matter.
  12. One crazy person’s manifesto does not make you a target.
  13. Because it’s not a real solution. It’s just not reality. Might as well pass a law banning whackos. That doesn’t mean do nothing. But there isn the political wherewithal or support to ban semi auto rifles or handguns. Your all or nothing thought process rewards you with nothing.
  14. No. It’s nice to not subscribe to batshit crazy as an ethos.
  15. Nah. The switch happens when he starts taping his fingers.
  16. Aaaabsolutely not.
  17. No, you were lashing out like a child. Lets pretend for a second that the nation is willing to take big steps to curb gun violence for a moment. It’s not, but hang with me. What do you think will happen? there will be a lengthy discussion, likely years worth with proposals, bills, vetos all sorts of childish crap by our elected officials and general bs and jackassery in Washington until large measures are hammered out. With that in mind, “I’m willing to listen” is where I’m at, because nothing is going to happen tomorrow, and nothing is likely going to happen at all. That doesn’t mean that many reasonable people aren’t ready for things to happen.
  18. I’m sorry that you were not able to construe that I’m willing to act, but that proposals a little more realistic than “We’ll just take all the guns!!!! Yaarrrgh!” need to be suggested and implemented. Because quite frankly, that’s extremely unrealistic. The proliferation of unregistered weapons and people unwilling to part with them would have a large intersection on a Venn diagram. Btw, you’re approach to those who are interested in changing things makes you part of the problem. Not Hugo level anti productive, but mad and hell, do something right the hell now and f anyone who doesn’t see it exactly like me is how you turn off reasonable people while getting shitty legislation passed.
  19. You have also misunderstood the argument. The idea is that a shooter would think twice before committing an atrocity where the victims could adequately fight back, and not for willy nilly vigilantism.
  20. And they’re not wrong. Usually that guy is a trained peace officer. Like the ones who arrested this crazy. Occasionally is a CHL holder who is cornered and has no choice. And that’s the way CHL holders are taught and should be expected to act.
  21. No. It didn’t. He adequately explained why someone with a CHL didn’t engage the shooter. The OP has a very incorrect perception of the purpose of a CHL. Using a concealed weapon to save the day is always the last resort. And, while it is touted that a good guy with a gun protects against a bad guy with a gun, the reality is that’s only when escape isn’t an option, and thinking people understand this inherently.
  22. Well, shit in one hand and hope for that in the other.... He’s going to be a general nightmare anytime he chooses to communicate.
  23. No Hugo, you’re conflicting issues. One being your batshit crazy notion that there’s a civil war between white supremacists and whoever, and the second being the notion that it didn’t happen to me so I don’t care. The second isn’t true at all, but you’ve called me trash because I’ve correctly posited that it will be business as usual in El Paso, and in short order. Something numerous other posters have noted. Something that is true virtually everywhere else this and other horrific acts have happened once a modicum of time has passed Its not that I don’t give a fuck as you suggest. It’s that I realize you’re crazy as fuck, and are not worth engaging substantively. If you want to approach me with measures to help curb gun violence then, despite my very conservative nature, I’m at a point where I’ll listen. When you tag on that there’s a war against brown people and that the president is the leader of a white supremacy movement? Yeah, you’ve spent too much time in the echo chamber of the cloak room being supported by other batshit crazies.
  24. I suspect El Paso will be exactly the same, and in short order. A year from now there will be a memorial service and moments of silence. 5 years from now there will be a blurb on the news. 10 years from now only victims families will remember. Btw, walk around telling people that we're in some kind of low grade civil war between the forces of white nationalism and some greater, enlightened society ( or insert woke term here) and about 85% of Americans will look at you like there's a horn growing out of your head. As they should. At some point the left might, maybe(hell, who am I kidding?) realize that the way to combat batshit craziness in the WH is not to try and out batshit it by an order of magnitude.
  25. Sounds a lot like truck driving without the passenger lives at stake. Runs on diesel and hauls a lot of people or boxes. Yeah, it’s truck driving in three planes of motion.
