To be fair, that is more of an extortion payment to get him back in his good graces and avoid the weaponized justice system from coming after him further.
They have all but destroyed education and any critical thinking skills that are associated with it to make some drones. Same for why the dipshits keep voting for longterm incompetents in Texas who have enriched themselves and created a local oligarchy off the people of Texas while blaming the everyone who isn't in decision making (and short-term) roles.
It was all bullshit from the start. No EV is taking people on a brutal drive. I drove Austin to Tucson before, and I have driven from Grand Prairie (Canada) to Ft. Laird. I didn't know they could make unpaved mud/gravel roads have potholes in them, but somehow the Canadians managed this feat.
Seems like the republican goal is to have Texans sneak across the border to have their kids educated in Mexico.
Where did you get your numbers for the 60,000 private school student from?
No this is not a reasonable statement. It is defensive and distracting as not a single person asked him to divest the car for our own approval nor would anyone expect someone to take a loss or make a decision based on our preference. His past statements about buying into the sales hype of having the car make money or be self-driving and safe is not really much different that when our wives come home and tell us how much they saved on those new boots. It is difficult to convince someone they were played/conned and there sometimes is just no benefit from doing so. Just reply "those boots are lovely, dear."
