Axlerod is a pro, so no disrespect but I don’t think anything like that is inherently good or bad. I’ve always seen politics as very analogous to boxing: styles make fights and quality is everything. If I described James Toney’s appearance and his strengths and weaknesses to you, it wouldn’t sound like a world class fighter, and if I stood him up next to Evander Holyfield, you’d expect Toney to get overwhelmed. But then the bell rings and Holyfield somehow gets dismantled in 9 rounds by a flabby, light-punching, upsized middleweight. What Ossoff does works for Ossoff. Same for Trump, and AOC and Harris and everyone else.

I gotta say- has anybody ever pantsed Donald Trump in public like Henry Cuellar? He baited him, took the pardon, and then didn’t switch parties. So they redraw his district, he goes to the mattresses, and now the GOP is pulling money out of the campaign to unseat him. Cuellar is what he is, but this is a man who knows what he can do on his own turf. What a fucking gangster.
