  1. DSISD cases have doubled for students since last night 11 to 22 and employee almost tripled from 5 to 14. This is just the beginning. They couldn't find a sub for one of the teachers so 2 classes went out into a pod and one teacher taught both. Now instead of one class being exposed you would have two in the event that someone was positive.
  2. Not in DSISD. There is no remote learning for students who choose to quarantine. They essentially have to teach themselves and do the work on their own until they return to school.
  3. No idea. They have a canned response for all teachers when asked by a parent. Something like “that is a personal conversation and not appropriate for this setting”. The wording is probably not 100 percent accurate, but close enough.
  4. Just got 2 emails for my 6th grader in DSISD that she was in a classroom with someone who is now positive. Looks like 2 separate teachers are the reason and one is confirmed to have not been wearing a mask. She is 12 and gets her 2nd shot this week. Hoping that the first shot was enough.

  6. Dripping Springs took no action at the board meeting last night. Sent a message out that masks are strongly encouraged. While at the board meeting I was confronted by someone declaring that I was a plant to cause division since I was wearing a mask. Said “you don’t even have kids that go here”…turns out the Hay County Freedom Network sent a bunch of folks to Dripping to yell at the board. Every accusation is a confession.
  7. Yeah, it’s bad. Wouldn’t surprise me if DSISD ended up on the news like that Tennessee district. Edit: may end up being nothing with the TX Sc ruling earlier.
  8. Not just hays cisd. Supposed to be all of hays county. Dripping springs is going hard on both sides of the issue. Schools board meeting tomorrow night and it’s not going to be pretty.
  9. Bought the 40v(4Ah) Ryobi weed eater last year and the 40v(6Ah) mower in June. Love both and haven't had any issues with power or finishing the lawn(mostly St. Augustine) with the battery that came with the mower. I was really tired of dealing with gas so this has been great for me.
  10. My puppy actually got a hold of mine and tore it to pieces.
  11. 12 yr old just got her first vaccination yesterday. We all had COVID in late January(probably from school). My wife(no pics), 15 yr old son and I had no issues with the vaccination. My daughter who got COVID, but who was the only asymptomatic one of us in January is feeling it today. Mostly tired with spurts of energy and a sore arm.
  12. He will die. My impression was that he was drinking from the grail all along and that is what kept him alive so long. Grail fell down the giant hole, so he will die.

    High

In Colorado the gummies are $17 for 10 x 10mg. The fast acting ones are a little more at $25 (20 x 5mg)
  14. I really enjoyed it. My daughter who groans about everything MCU even liked it. The first 45 min went by quick with lots of action and I thought the chemistry of the actors was great. I'll want to watch it again in a few months, but damn it felt good to be in a theater.
  15. Going in about 30 min with the family. My 15 yr old son lives everything MCU and my 12 yr old daughter could care less but is going. I think everyone is ready to get back to theaters.
  16. Have a friend who has a 6 month old that isn't sleeping very well. He started to go down this road but couldn't do it in the end. He has a video with the unwrapped slice and about to go for it, but just didn't have the heart.
  17. I think he played Anthony in the scene where Vito dies.
  18. Raining in 78737 for the last 15 min or so.
  19. 15 yr old son got his Pfizer #2 today. I had no problem with my 2nd Pfizer…A little over a month ago. We both had Covid in January. Still waiting for August when my 11 yr old will be 12.
  20. Nope, a different one last weekend, which to me means they are open to all kinds of events. I would call them. It is covered as well, so if it rains there would be some shelter.
  21. How about an amphitheater? Life Austin on 71 has a good size one that would allow for social distancing if desired. No idea if they allow use of it for the general public or if there is a cost. I have been to a dance recital there recently for my daughter, but am not a member there.
  22. So sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace.
  23. 15 yr old just got shot #1 about an hour ago. He was excited to do his part!
