  1. Had some roommates in the late 90's that went exploring in the tunnels under campus. They went down there more than once.
  2. WTF? This is a clock management problem....dumb announcers
  3. Is that where Jorge’s used to be? We used to eat there all the time as a kid.
  4. From what I remember back then, the gate they put in the outfield that Mitch went out of was the payment for using the field. That gate wasn’t there when I played on it a year or so prior.
  5. Don't know the particular ones. Friends that were extras mentioned it years ago. I haven't been able to identify them when watching the movie. It is possible that they never made it into the movie.
  6. Great family. i grew up with the youngest one. They owned a number of stores around the Austin area. Just ran into the mom last weekend. I knew a number of people in the movie as extras. Played baseball on that field growing up. A lot of those scenes were filmed in Allandale where I grew up. The front yard that they cut through in the chase scene was lived in by a kid at my elementary schools house. There is an old cemetery right behind it. The were some scenes also shot Northwest rec center on Allandale/Koenig lane. The hazing scenes were shot at a old movie theater on Hancock close to Burnet.
  7. Dos Gatos in San Marocs has some great Kolaches as well, both fruit and meat Kolaches ...I don't care what they are called because they are good.
  8. Yep, loved this place as a kid. I would throw so much of that butter sauce on thick pieces of bread and throw it on the grill. It was so good. I never understood why some people would go there and then pay someone to cook the food. If you want someone to cook your food go somewhere else. The whole point of this place is to cook your own damn steak. Also another place that I loved as a kid was La Tapatia on East 6th right next to Cisco's Bakery. Little Italy has been mentioned a couple times as well.
  9. I believe it was line of site to the Capital. Particularly from the balcony at the LBJ library. There are a lot of places across town that are supposed to have an unobstructed view of the capital.
  10. I was never able to sign up monthly via paypal. Finally said screw it and paid for a year and that worked. Wonder if it has something to do with the auto renewal. Order #428 after days of trying.
  11. Just tried, but I got the following error: There was an error processing the payment. Please try a different payment method or contact us for assistance. Any ideas? That was for the autorenew per month
  12. I donated on the last site and will on this one. I inquired about it when this site first got going, so anytime you guys are ready let us know. Come football season the poors are going to get going again and I don't know how I am going to handle it.
  13. College Room mate was on Hornfans in the late 90's so I lurked as well, especially after Simms committed. Joined, but still lurked. Made it over to Shag when Ramonce Taylor was in court.
  14. Good friend lives in that area too and I heard about it about 2 weeks ago. That is some crazy shit.
  15. Infamous is when you're more than famous! This guy El Guapo is not just famous, he's IN-famous!
  16. I think you told us how it was weighted on the old site. Can you go over that again here?
  17. Yeah, the big red ones. Still plastic and still gets thrown away instead of being reused.
  18. HEB charges .25 a bag if you don't have your own. They have been doing it since the bag ban started. Don;t know if the proceeds go anywhere, but they sell them...when they are open.
  19. Shit! I hate it when I get my Schwartz twisted.
  20. Looks like a wreck with possible death out towards Dripping on 290.
  21. I'll take the over...way over. 6+
