    Apathy

Apathy. This is where I’m at. Both the offense and defense suck ass. There’s nothing for this team to hang it’s hat on. Oh well, deer season starts in two months, so there’s that.
  2. Time to get balls deep in that turtle shell!
  3. Finebaum is still being critical of UM but I’m pretty sure that wingnut also said last night that he thought the university did a good job, no they fucking didn’t you dumbass. Also, it was mentioned a few pages back but Herbie calling Texas a cesspool after a losing head coach was fired but being far less critical of this kind of bullshit is unbelievable. He needs to be publicly flogged. Fuck that piece of shit too.
  4. 2M smokehouse is legit bbq El Mirador for some unique Tex-Mex Tip Top for CFS
  5. I’m getting a “not secure” message in my browser on my iPhone before the domain when I try to enter cc info. I’m pretty sure this is why payment won’t go through.
  6. So, season 2 of Ozarks is dropping Aug 31, anyone else a fan?
  7. This thread is awesome, I’m taking the fam next summer. I’d like to visit Maui Brewing Co., I like their Coconut Porter.
  8. El Pollo Loco. A guy from work wanted to go there once so I tagged along. I knew nothing about the place or type of chicken served. The guy from work got what they called “regular” chicken which looked like a grilled leg quarter. They asked me if I wanted regular or bbq. I said bbq expecting to see a smoked leg quarter with dark crispy skin, instead they grabbed a “regular“ leg quarter and squirted about 2 cups of cheap bbq sauce all over it. I told them no thanks and left.
  9. Don’t have paypal, cc option keeps giving me an error message.
  10. Kurt Russell - Wyatt Earp
  11. Good to hear about Kirk Johnson, I thought he was done.
  12. Ben Affleck as Batman, that douche ruined it for me.
  13. Damnnnn... glad that one didn’t work out.
  14. My grandfather drove an M4 tractor onto Okinawa in WW2. I guess he was chosen because he was a farm boy and knew how to operate heavy equipment. He told me he thought he was going to drown at first because the entire thing went under water but he just punched it, the tires and tracks started grabbing, and he slowly made it ashore. The thing was made by Allis Chalmers and that’s the only tractor he’d ever buy when he came back from the war. Also had had one of my old Captains ( I’m in a large metro fire Dept) tell me a story about his dad who landed on Omaha Beach but rarely talked about it. He took him to see Saving Private Ryan at the theatre. This man was in his 80’s at the time hadn’t seen a movie theater in 40 yrs. He wasn’t prepared for how real the opening scene would feel with the new technology in sound systems today. He told me after the opening scene his father had tears in his eyes and would later tell him that he could smell gunpowder and rotting flesh as he was sitting in that theater. Still gives me chills to think about it. Both of them are gone now, but I hope series like BOB will make sure that their memories and experiences will never be.
  15. You guys looking for something for your mom? I really don’t think so, Sue.
  16. 5 medium tomatoes 1 sweet yellow onion 3-5 Serrano peppers with seeds handful of cilantro 2 cloves garlic 1lime comino(cumin to taste) salt place tomatoes, Serranos, and onion on outdoor grill and cook until skin is blackened squeeze the juice of one lime in the bottom of a blender, add garlic, cilantro, blackened veggies until it becomes as chunky or smooth as you like, add comino and salt to taste (note) I leave all the blackened skin on my veggies, I think it adds flavor.
  17. Just got back from Corpus before the Babes on the Bay madness hit. Had an outstanding day of fishing 26,23.5, and 22.5” trout and on the same shoreline limited out on reds. We threw 4 oversized back with the biggest being 33”. I’m too technologically disadvantaged to post pics.
  18. I’ve worked in San Antonio for over 20 years and grew up in a rural area just outside the city limits. There are cool places to live everywhere that are great for families, but it depends on what’s important to you. If proximity to downtown is important, Alamo Heights, Hill Country Village, Terrell Hills can all be good options. If you’re comfortable in a more rural area with access to all San Antonio has to offer but the ability to get away from the city when you go home, places like Boerne, Garden Ridge, Spring Branch, and even La Vernia out east could all be great options. I love it in this area, always something to do.
  19. I’m waiting at a light in a turn lane to get onto I10. It’s rush hour and I’ve had to wait two light sequences to get close enough to make the next light. An 18 wheeler pulls up in the lane next to me(not a turn lane) and when the light turns green makes a left hand turn cutting off everyone in the turn lane just so he didn’t have to wait like everyone else. I wanted to pull his ass out of his truck and light him on fire. What a fucking asshole.
  20. Anything by Sam Peckinpah should be on the short list. I celebrate his entire catalogue.
