  1. If 2nd row Joe wins game 4 he has the double double of best winning percentage career in the regular season and playoffs
  2. Live update. Perhaps the worst 3 game stats line in NBA finals history (perhaps nba history in general).
  3. Jrue is by far the MVP of the series so far. In the first game he pretty much locked down Kyrie for 3 quarters and then Luka in Q4. In the 2nd game he still played amazing D and delivered the points that were missing from KP and Tatum.
  4. Playing him at all has been a big mistake. They had good chemistry and a strong rotation without him. 2 points in 31 minutes…
  5. Once again, I am no geography expert, but it seems quite stupid to go Monaco -> Montreal -> Barcelona.
  6. One of the times I went to the Montreal race there was rain and very light snow, in June. I think it was 2011 or 12. Montreal is freaky with weather.
  7. Perez must just bring tons of money to the team. But does that money offset the strong chance of losing the constructors? He is completely washed.
  8. Uh - that's fucking why you offer a plea deal. Small fish help to take down the big fish. I am living in a fucking crazy world...
  9. Hurley would be a god damn moran to take the Lakers job. He is pretty much set up for life at UConn. Even if he leads the Lakers to the chip, he could be fired a few years later (see last championship).
  10. porzingis has been really good the last 2 years. His last year in Washington was almost All-NBA worthy. The Celtics stole him.
  11. Points 1. The Celtics are a really good (if not great) team 2. The mavs played an overall terrible game 3. Kyrie was dog shit 4. It’s only 1 game 5. Forget it and move to game 2
  12. We all know that KAT has his deficiencies (and he's not a player that m(any) of us would want our our team), however he is a near 7 footer who just had a season of 51%/41%/87%. The number of other players in history who have done that at his height is exactly 1 and his initials are K and D. Some owner is going to fall in love and force a trade for him.
  13. They could have traded out Perez for Sainz. wtf They could have traded out Perez for almost anyone in fact. Stupid move.
  14. For Orlando, who else are they going to get to improve? Klay? There are no real options in free agency (and even if there were, few people go to Orlando historically). If they run the team back, even adding someone like Klay, they are a 4-5 seed again max. They will have to make a trade and probably take a risk.
  15. 28 teams are in the off season, trades are already being talked about. Here is an idea for the last team eliminated: Orlando: Karl-Anthony Towns Minni: Jett Howard Moody K. Looney J. Issac #18 pick Golden State: Wendell Carter Why would they do it? Orlando: KAT would move back to the 5 and is an upgrade over Carter. Would be a good compliment as a #2 to PB. They are giving up on Howard (rumors). Minni: Salary dump and player grab. They are way over the apron. This allows them to turn 1 long term mega contract into 5 guys who could all be traded at the deadline if needed. Get a couple of young wings to try out. Issac and McDaniel with Gobert might be best D front court ever. GS: Carter fits much better than Looney as he can go inside and out. Moody’s time is done. The Money works.
  16. Yes they are - but those are the ones they are using for the MLB stats.
  17. The 2 early Negro League greats who pioneered integration. Both in their prime and both HOFers Larry Doby Last year in NL: .365/.437/.592/1.030 First year in MLB: .301/.384/.490/.873 Jackie Robinson Last year in NL: .375/.449/.600/1.049 First year in MLB: .297/.383/.427/.810 I don’t think you can find one instance of an established player coming from the NL and even coming close to equaling their stats in the MLB. These players are great and had to go through hell to finally integrate the game. But it wasn’t the same level of competition.
  18. Luka is going to be first $80 million player. Then maybe first $100m
  19. I've known several people that have sailed west from Panama, through the canal, across the Pacific, through the Suez, into the med, across the Atlantic and back to Panama. They must all be part of the conspiracy to keep the truth hidden for reasons.
  20. The real point is since the dawn of humanity, the few have used "God", "God's word", "God talking to only me" to control the many. This control is economic, physical and monetary. It's all bullshit, but people have fallen for it over and over and over again. This control mechanism has been a direct result in most of the horrors, hate and war humanity has suffered. Without this the world would be a much better place It's not really up for debate as far as I am aware.
  21. In 1943, Josh Gibson is credited with a career high 116 hits, the only time he is credited with more than 100 hits in a season, on his way to a .466 batting average. Unfortunately he didn’t win the batting title that year…Tetelo Vargas pounded out a .471 average to take home the crown and the title of the greatest hitter in mlb single season history.
  22. I’m pretty confident that since ~1925 the records are pretty accurate. Pre-1920s records should be struck imo. I get your point however.
  23. My final point about MLB records, if you play in the major leagues you are guaranteed to play against a team filled with major league players. There have only been a few instances of gimmick players being used. In the Negro league, this simply was not the case. In many instances guys were literally pulled off the streets (or out of the stands) into the game. It just simply can’t be judged the same way. It’s fine that we say it was fucked up to not have black players integrated into the game. It’s fine we say it’s a mistake. But combining the records is idiotic. I use to watch 200+ games a year, I was the director of a baseball video game franchise, I’ve spent an all-star game as the guest of Jay Johnstone (when he did TWIB), I’m met many of the games greats. I’ve gone to Spring Training with the mariners. I’ve stood in the box against Randy Johnson. This year I’ve watched 0 games. Last year maybe 5 innings. The game has lost me. This is just another stupid decision in a string of them.
