  1. How many private sector RIFs have you weathered?

My former company was as doing project for Microsoft. We had 50ish people working 17+ hours a day / 7 days a week to deliver an ambitious milestone. We delivered every bit of the contract and much more.

Because of some internal politics they ended up refusing to pay and cancel the project. There response for not paying the milestone was “sue us, lol”

50 people lost their jobs the next day

  2. We've not even trying to hide oligarchy stuff anymore
Meta to pay Trump $25 million settlement for shutting his accounts after Jan. 6

$22 million will go toward a fund for Trump's presidential library, according to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the deal. The rest will go toward legal fees and individual plaintiffs.

I have been gathering the energy to delete my Facebook and instagram accounts. WhatsApp is a bit more problematic, but I’m considering it also.

  3. The gop has been in total control of Texas government for what? 30 years yet the entire time they have been claiming they are going to fix everything that the dems have broken the entire time. It is beyond reality. This was the case study. We really have a shitload of people who are not capable of simple critical thought. At some point you have to realize you are being duped, but it is easier to just dig in I guess.

  4. Yeah…. Shorten game by 16%? Or shorten the season by 16% instead. Already too damn long

Shortening games saves money. Shortening the season loses money.

Guess which one billionaires are going to pick?

  5. lavine and gordon were relative unknowns when they put on what ended up being two of the most legendary dunk contests ever. you put a million dollars on the line, you get the actual best dunkers, you get rid of the props and incessant misses, and you’ll have a dunk contest that will get lots of real-time views and will go viral on social media, creating more interest for the next one. it’ll never happen, but it would work.

Dr J, Jordan and Dominque disagree…
