  1. Piña! Shit wrong thread. Or not.
  2. Go find you some good walleye. My old man (RIP) and I went to Minneapolis for the Ryder Cup at Hazeltine in 2016 and I remember some pretty good joints. What makes you the fuckin expert?
  3. Boom! Chas to left?? Inconceivable!
  4. Accurate handle is accurate. Stros win the division and the giant Costco in Arlington is empty per usual in September.
  5. My OF is/was incredibly thin after the draft. I was desperately scouring the FA/waiver wire. I wasn’t sure my claim would work out, I was about halfway down the league in waiver status.
  6. Wow. Tuck. Gold glove deserved.
  7. Oh and I thought it was all about defense. His route to the Jimenez double was fucking awful. Renfroe-esque.
  8. FUCKING MEYERS. YOU SUCK!
  9. The fuck does Chas have to do to play the first couple of days? He should have been out there last night as an honor/thank you above anything else.
  10. This whole page and other articles it links to is gold. @Biff Tannen I suggest you read this - it gives some serious arguments for the changes that go beyond the obvious. I’ve been totally swayed on both the pitch clock and the shift since seeing it in person and playing out the new gamesmanship that takes the place of needless dicking around. And yes, 20 minutes fewer per game of needless dicking around - or FIFTY FOUR hours over a 162 game season - is welcome in my book. To say this changes the game completely ignores the fact that the game changed in the first place with analytics and the defensive responses to the offensive changes. This brings the game back to the pace and ideal athletic five-tool player of old. Give it a shot.
  11. Yeah, we can’t roll with Dubon and Meyers in the same lineup very often. Ugly. But the Sox pitchers brought it. Bummer has some of the craziest movement on his slider in the league.
  12. It was Tucker. Was weird - almost like he goaded him into taking third.
  13. For one day, this has gone spectacularly well. 5-5, HR, 4 RBI for Rutschman. I hope the O’s score 10 runs every game!
  14. I think it’s more about the defense than offense with Meyers. At least that’s what my insider has said drives that particular roster decision.
  15. Huh, interesting. No huge loss though. I guess they are very comfortable in Diaz as the backup 1B.
  16. Sorry to hear all this. Hang in there and enjoy the Stros in your downtime. Since we are sharing with our Astros family, I’ll share that this will be the first season of my life without my dad. He passed away on New Year’s Eve. I got to take him to a WS game last year, and we celebrated a lot together. Let’s win another one so I can pour one out for him in November.
  17. I’ll be there. We will win. It’s science.
  18. I was shocked I didn’t get my auto Kyle Tucker pick. I thought for sure he’d be there. I decided to choose Acuña over Yordan, which was tough. Had I known Witt would fall to me in around 2, I probably would have taken Yordan with the 5th pick. He went the next pick. I somewhat panicked with my Rutschman pick, but it should be a solid one. I did not plan on having 3 Orioles in my everyday lineup. They’re good, but I don’t love it.
  19. Bury me in the H. But until then, let’s win some more titles. Our guys answered this same call last year, and I see no reason they can’t do it again. LFG.
  20. They still have two games against the Space Cowboys. Let’s at least wait until the Opening Day rosters are set.
  21. WHY WOULD ZAVA WRITE A BOOK ABOUT TRENT CRIMM??? 😂😂😂
  22. Roy popping the balloons killed me. And Crimm’s reaction in the locker room when Roy barked out his name.
  23. What a tourney. That was a blast. Bummer the US lost, but the only thing I really am sad about is not putting some dough on Japan +275 - most sportsbooks had them third best odds behind US and DR. I felt pretty confident they’d win. Oh well. Oh and that Altuve thing sucked too It was a lot of fun going to a couple of games in Phoenix and watching the rest. Looking forward to ‘26 already.
