  1. Tom's version of it is.
  2. Orlando did not stress fundamentals, that will change. That, less chance-taking on 3rd-and-Orlando, and the move to rugby style tackling should yield noticeable improvement.
  3. Sure. 307 yards, 27 pts against OU who averaged allowing 330 and 25. 327 and 21 vs. ISU against averages of 371 and 21. 391 and 10 (including the trash on both) against Baylor's averages of 365 and 20. Greg Davis laughs at your standard for "good."
  4. I'm less concerned about the DC hire. Ash should be an improvement. But it looks increasingly like the re-tooling on the offensive side will be nothing more than a change of the name of the guy running Tom's simplistic, out-dated offense. Basically Beck 2.0. I'm gonna be as excited for that as I was for Charlie year 3.
  5. Which is why I've come to believe this ends badly. I hope I'm wrong. I hope for the continuation of our quadrennial peaceful revolutions. I just don't see that being the case. Trump knows he cannot leave office without suffering somehow. A cornered sociopath is the most dangerous kind. First he will try to win reelection. If he fails at that, he will look for another way.
  6. We aren't talking about people with beliefs. We are talking about people who've fallen in lock-step behind a con-man, tool of gangsters. They've done so knowing full well that their leader is actively aiding our former sworn enemy-state simply because he gets their core constituency wet, and there is no other way to progress in their line of work. They are traitors to everything we hope this country would stand for, simply for money and power. Belief has nothing to do with it. I would welcome a government that makes choices based on the tension of liberal and conservative, libertarian and authoritarian impulses. We don't have that, and may not again for some time when the arc of this tragedy plays out.
  7. Agreed. Which is why I find myself not giving a shit about any of this so much the last few months. I'm to the point that I feel that somehow Trump will still be in the White House come February 2021, and America as we know it will really begin to disappear.
  8. So at least 4 of the 9 want to give DOTUS complete cover for all his financial dealings. We will know probably in June whether the American experiment is done. Maybe Justice Roberts isn’t totally corrupt. I hope the brisketledge has been load tested for 100+ million folks.
  9. Last straw, huh? You have been very patient.
  10. With perfect hindsight, the best non-Saban play would've been to let Mack stay, but mandate he bring in Lincoln Riley (one year before OU did) as OC/HCIW. That or try to get Dan Mullen, I guess.
  11. I take it to mean the replacement is already chosen and accepted at least in principle.
  12. I want the Dem nominee to announce at a debate that if he/she wins that the new name of Space Force will be Starfleet. Just as a random troll to throw him off.
  13. Actually it can be quite productive, for them. Politics is perception, and because most voters don’t pay attention until the book on a candidate is mostly written, it’s important for Pete to learn how not to give opponents these opportunities to massage his words into some very damaging. It’s a sizable flaw in his campaign right now. It’s that he is racist, or might never convince brown folks he is for them, but that he’s getting easily punched into those corners. He’s got some maturing to do, as a candidate.
  14. If the response is, "no, Hitler was the Devil's work," then just reply that Stalin, FDR and liberalism must have been heaven sent to meet that threat.
  15. Attorneys General There, now I can agree 100%.
  16. Tressel was at Youngstown St. Good coaches can be found anywhere. All you have to do is know what you’re looking for, and not get wowed by pretty lights.
  17. Trumps gonna walk out to the two turkeys in two weeks with Roger in tow and give his buddy the free pass.
  18. If those things were in the constitution they would say the witch hunt Congress is undertaking invalidates those provisions. Only they’d use smaller words to say that.
  19. I'd like to see more polling on M4A, both from an accuracy and fullness POV and using the scare language the GOP will use to attack it. From what little I can find, if you simply ask voters about putting everyone on Medicare, it's fairly popular. However, if you ask about putting everyone on medicare and those with insurance losing that, it's underwater by 10-15 points. Taking it further, though, when you poll using a GOP-likely description of the consequences, it of course polls horribly. If that is accurate, it will be a mistake to run in the general on Bernie or Warren's plan. It probably means it's a mistake to nominate either one. It's a shame there isn't a progressive who 1. avoided putting this kind of target on him/her and 2. didn't have another serious liability.
  20. Meh. They’ll just download and share more Russian made memes and stream white nationalist videos on YouTube.
  21. National polling doesn’t ultimately matter. Warren currently leads in Iowa and is 2nd to Bernie in NH. I think the key right now is Biden’s SC lead. If Warren gets early white people wins and that translates to black people breaking her way more in the Palmetto state, game on. If not, Biden may just about have it in the bag by March.
  22. By learning angles and leverage he means scrimmaging all week in 3rd and long situations so they can find the right 3 guys to blitz from the parking lot.
  23. On the flip side, the center, center-left also needs to learn to quiet their far left facing guns when it's silly season. Guys like Maher and his constant drum beat against PC culture/wokeness should declare a truce when general elections are nigh, or once a nominee is selected/inevitable. Obama needs to stay away from telling this particular truth once Ms. Warren is the nominee. There really are odd folks out there who can be persuaded. Stop giving the other side ammunition in that fight. Additionally, enthusiasm can be a fragile thing, especially for the young, for whom voting hasn't become a habit. Of course this goes for all lanes of the Dem constituency.
  24. It's amazing this has to be stated. But everyday there's b_t reminding me of all the people who advocate for necessary policy changes but have no damn clue how to get the power necessary to enact them.
