  1. And all this made completely moot by my opponent having Kamara. Fuck this stupid fucking game.
  2. Completely, 100% in line with OP/Longhornstampede here. Had 6-7 retail bags full of various things to wrap last night, plus Santa/stockings to set up for the littles. Retired to the office with a drink or three, and thoroughly enjoyed thinking about the recipients of each gift, what we've done together throughout the year, what the gift might mean to them, etc. We're full-on sharpie-directly-on-wrapping-paper tho. Bows and tags, ain't nobody got time for that shit.
  3. "Hate hate hate hate HATE hate hate!"
  4. "Learn on his own" doesn't mean that Tiger ignores the kid. They're on record saying that tiger is incredibly hands-on with Charlie w.r.t. golf. The point is that Tiger isn't a tiger mom (SWIDT?) about golf. I read it as "if you're going to play golf, we're going to play it the right way, but if you want to do other things, I'll support you in that just as much."
  5. Wait, are you guys going on a bus trip to Stillwater?!?!?
  6. Only way I could play good balls growing up was to buy x-outs. I remember discovering an end-cap of Titleist Tour Balata's one day at Oshmans (high school, MAYBE even middle school). $19.99, in the black-and-white box. Bought two, felt like a king. I was even able to buy the 90 compression, which I always preferred. "Practice" balls are the ones that they send to tournaments, so that staffers can warm up with the right balls. So they've been hit 3, maybe 4 times total, but they're full-quality balls unlike x-outs. Practice balls are a GREAT buy, although I'd be worried about authenticity on eBay. Not that they're selling fake ProV1s, but that they're selling refurbs and not legit practice balls. Refurbs are to be avoided - the process that the 3rd party folks use totally changes how the ball plays. But if you find Practice dozens at retail, or you trust the seller on eBay, snap 'em up.
  7. What about Dobbins vs. ARobinson for the Flex spot, then? (I love this analysis for starting RB, btw. I hadn't considered total touches).
  8. Oh, almost assuredly I am. But this is my longest-running league, I haven't won since 2006, and I'm the best team by several hundred points over the regular season. I'd really like to not come in 2nd due to a fluke. All three RBs save cook, and ARobinson, are projected between 9.8 and 10.8 points. There's no obvious play.
  9. First time posting on this thread this year. I started my FFL season with a pretty lackluster attitude, but going 12-3 and making the championship game improves attitudes considerably. Would love some input on Flex ... RBs go Ekeler and Cook WRs go ABrown, Hopkins (Murray is my QB too) Flex options are ARobinson, Dobbins, and Lockett. By points, my starting RBs and WRs are correct, and the Flex spot goes to ARobinson. But Dobbins is on a hell of a hot streak, and playing the woeful Giants. Ekeler is a re-injury risk, too, although he looked strong last week. Right now I'm leaning Dobbins over Ekeler at RB, and ARobinson in Flex. Thoughts? Edit: Scoring is 6pt TDs, 1pt per 10 yards rushing or receiving, bonuses for 100 yard games and 20+ yard gains (we definitely prioritize "explosive plays")
  10. TSNP showing some little-engine-that-could vibes this week ...
  11. Already learning all kinds of shit (naturally). Dude lived HARD growing up, legit mountain man (cue "twelve stories high made of radiation").
  12. I've really narrowed my purchasing lately, and I'm convinced that I'm going to have to go secondary. I don't drink nearly enough bourbon to have the kind of volume I have in my cabinet already. If anyone has a line on a Weller Single Barrel (the orange label), I'm your huckleberry. Yes, I know what I'm asking. Aside from that, I'm only buying Eagle Rare or BT Kosher if they're out, and regular BT if I see one to stock up as the daily. I'm tired of the runaround, tbh.
  13. Lol, sorry.I really didn't think they'd sell on eBay, but now they have a bid and several watchers so I guess they're off the market here. Literally half an hour after I posted this. Mods if you want to just delete this, that's fine too. I know some of you have been interested in my various golf club liquidation events. I'm getting rid of a set that I bought quite a while ago - the plan was to turn them into a display piece, but it just never materialized. Awesome condition clubs from the early '60s. Serial numbers match, etc. Details in the listing - https://www.ebay.com/itm/124494366980. I'd sell them here for $75 to someone in Austin - saves me eBay fees, shipping hassles etc. These clubs are really sharp, esp the woods.
  14. Details here - https://austin.craigslist.org/spo/d/austin-birdieball-4x10-putting-green/7249905003.html. In south Austin.
  15. You weren't the only one. I saw the X-wing dock, the very obvious hood hiding the face, and the green lightsaber, and I found myself momentarily unable to speak. I was so, so, so fucking disappointed with the last two SW movies, I didn't want to let myself believe that the guy wrecking shop in that ships hallway was the Luke we all wanted to see. And then it was, and I was STOKED. God that was awesome.
  16. Sell order went through, took a few losses and parked them for the year. Now to decide to buy back in at .0006 or .0007, and maybe catch a dip. I'd want to get enough shares to make it worthwhile, though, which means I need the volume up.
  17. Some early Bid action on XMET at .001, even at .0011, but those seem to have been closed out now. RCR, are you seeing any early positions en masse? Lots of shorts from .001? Yesterday's violent oscillation between .008 and .009, just ping pong all day, makes me want to try and flip a few lots today, but only if my big sell order at .001 goes through. Probably set a buy in at .008 and see what I get.
  18. Awesome, thanks for this. I got Washington in the mail yesterday, and it's a legit tome. I'm looking forward to reading it, though.
  19. My .001 sell order didn't go through. I changed it to hold back 1M shares, and sell the rest at .001. We'll see what executes at market open tomorrow. May try and buy back in at .0008, .0007, if the volatility is there tomorrow.
  20. TSNP needs to pull its head out of its ass.
  21. Yeah but how low does that stop loss go? If I'm in at .0014, and it's already tested .0008 just today ...
  22. Can't decide if I want off the XMET train or not. Have a sell order for all of it (>1M shares) at .001, bought at .0014-.0015. Need to decide tonight lol to get the order canceled in case of a morning jump.
