  1. SOLAT (the tempo from unplugged serves the song better than the studio cut)

    Alive/Once/Footsteps

    Elderly Woman

Do the Evolution / Brain of J (Yield is their most complete album .. has the rock anthem tracks a'la Ten, and the artistic reach tracks a'la Vitology/Binaural).

Rearviewmirror (.Vs is a tight, tight album altogether tho)

Dang. I wish I had seen this sooner. I just bought a 24” Dell from Staples for $75. But it only came with a power cord and HDMI delivered for free a day later. They made me put it on a credit card.

Happy to deliver it to you (if in Austin) for $70 if you want to return yours lol ... hardest way to make $5 in the history of the world :)

Worth checking - did you buy a full HD (1920x1080) or an Ultrasharp (1920x1200)? This one is the latter ... doesn't seem like much, but it lets you get more information on the screen. Just a thought. Delivery offer stands.

Respectfully, I think you're misreading that webpage. The second one you posted is ~$230.

That said, this is still the winning idea. I'm currently leaning towards this one from amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Reelcraft-TB-05-Tool-Balancer-5-Pound/dp/B002CVTKK6?th=1.

Is that where your power panel is located?

For various reasons, moving the car to park in a different section of the garage isn't our preferred option. The main breaker box is on the outside wall of the garage, so the charger could go anywhere along one wall, or anywhere along the back wall. We've thought it through and this is the preferred solution, taking everything into account.

  5. Ok home DIY and problem solvers, help me out.

We got an electric car, and are putting a big charger in the garage. We park the car towards the middle of the garage, so the charger is going on the back wall. I want to swage the power cable across the ceiling so it doesn't drape across the middle of the garage every time we plug in the car. What I want is a way to have the plug readily available near the back of the car, but up out of the way. I'd like to get/find some sort of cable reel, or industrial pulley, or even just a soft spring of some sort, so that the cable lives/stays on the ceiling, but I can just reach up, grab it, pull it down and plug it in.

I'd also prefer to NOT spend >$40 or so. I've found the extension cord retractors at HD - that would do the job, but seems like a waste. I looked at lifeline / harnesses for high-wire workers, which would nail the use case but are crazy expensive. I even thought about a portable clothesline, but the retraction springs aren't very strong in those, there more designed for lockout strength so you can hang stuff on the outstretched line.

    So - any good ideas?

Gameday is a little chaotic, as the campus damned sure isn't designed for that.  Get there early or if it is a noon game, plan on staying afterwords.  The campus is beautiful, but the content of the history on virtually every corner is pretty overwhelming, IMHO.  You will not regret the trip.

There are hidden treasures all over the damned place, beyond the obvious statues, Trophy Point, the cathedral, Beat navy Tunnel, etc.   At the entrances to the barracks, there are arched walkways with  keystones commemorating different battles and such.  My favorite is a lightning bolt destroying a swastika.  I could( and did) walk around looking at that shit all day.

I can't +1 this any harder. My godfather is a WP grad. My wife and I joined he and his wife for a game many years ago. Got to see a tattoo, which blew my fucking mind. I've seen several in my time, at various parades, some boy scout stuff at Mabry, etc. These guys were next fucking level. Tailgated with the nicest random people ever (eat shit Nebraska, you ain't got nothing on West Point). Saw not nearly enough of the history, but the history of that place, the people that have walked those grounds and sat in those buildings will humble you right quick. The river overlook and strategic defensible positions were fascinating to me - still remnants of the big chains they used to block the river during invasions (i.e. the goddamned American Revolution). Plus it's stunningly beautiful country. If you get a chance, you HAVE to go.

  7. She's just a force. Plus, you know, she can actually sing. Thoughtful. Progressive. Honest. This song speaks to me ... I've brought shame on my family, I've caused the people I love to stumble, and I've stumbled myself. But that's not me; I want to be a blessing to people I meet, I want to help people back to their feet.

Actually get an old can or something to catch the solvent as you use it. I always use a lot on the tape but catch about 90% of it to use again.  Other tips - after sliding grip on - bang the  end of club on ground. Nothing worse than a small gap on the top of the grip. Quickly line up the marks or texture so it doesn't look corkscrewed. If you are putting a long putter grip on then pay someone to do it.  Those things are incredibly hard to get on without the grip drying out and leaving a lot left to be installed.  Make sure oyu have a vise - I did four grips once in a hotel with nothing but a dinner knife to get old one off. Not fun.  Also get a hooked knife blade to cut off old grip - I got mine at Golfsmoth before they closed so no idea where to get them but they are required for graphite shafts

Said with great respect, everyone makes this too damn complicated. You don't need so much solvent that enough drips off that you can reuse it. Why not just have a five gallon bucket full and dip the shaft into it?

Get a spray bottle, put your solvent in there.

Get the 2" grip tape. One piece, about an inch shorter than the grip length, run it vertical up the shaft and wrap around. Helpful to peel the backing off before you finish wrapping the tape on the shaft, but not a requirement.

Club under your armpit, grip in your left hand, spray bottle in your right. Stand in the grass. Spritz the peeled tape on the grip until it's wet all over. It doesn't need to drip off. Three spritzes into the open end of the grip.

Drop spray bottle into grass, and move shaft into hand. Helpful to have a shop rag between your hand and the shaft.

Plug open end of grip with finger and flip the grip over a few times to coat internally. Pour solvent out of grip onto grip tape ontp top of shaft.

Pinch end of grip to fit over top of shaft, and slide down with emphasis. If you've done it right, a bit of solvent will shoot out the hole in the top of the grip.

Align, and set club aside. You've got 60 seconds or so before the grip becomes hard to move around, you don't have to panic.

  9. Please keep the bluebonnet stories coming. I have a serious soft spot for that place.

Sometime around 2000, buddy and I signed up for one of their BBQ tournaments, a 2-man best ball (not a scramble) on a Sunday. We spent Saturday night drinking our weight in whatever we could get our hands on. It was winter, maybe January during our college break. We dragged our raggedy asses out of bed at 8 to make the 9am first pitch. We had four hard ciders that we put in the trunk where they'd stay cold. Shotgunned one each at the turn, and had one in the cart. He shot 73 on his own ball, and I contributed on two holes all day; a random birdie somewhere on the front, and an eagle 3 on 12 hitting 5i from the left fairway bunker to two feet. The other 16 holes I might as well have been in my pocket. Great fucking times. They ran that course the way I want a local muni to run. Keep the greens nice, grow a little grass on the range, and keep the pace of play up. Do that, and you'll never want for play.
