  1. LHN - be consistent and go to commercial right now...
  2. At least this break is against the Baylor d...
  3. Go to texassports.com. Find baseball, then select schedule. Find todays Baylor game am]nd select the link to the right that says WATCH. Be patient and it will stream the game. Tried this but it just sits on the BU/UT logo. Listening online but I'm LHN challenged with a YouTubeTV and associated ESPN+ account...
  4. Anyone got a LHN link?
  5. Saw LIonel Richie last night (for a 70+ dude, it was a pretty good show!) and Le Cirque for dinner shortly...
  6. I must have been drunk when I checked the online site... Just got my mail and a 400% increase in land value and 17% on the structure... F me...
  7. I figured it out. You have to "enable purchases" from an app in your settings so you can "purchase" the free trial...
  8. Just tried this and when I hit redeem, it still wants my credit card number...
  9. Link anyone?
  10. Mine actually went down 3% this year... I had the house reappraised for a cash out refi 2 years ago and told the appraiser to give me the smallest number available when he did the appraisal and I fought the AD last year and got 7% off last year. In Montgomery county... Of course, my rental house in Harris county went up 30%...
  11. Can you used notes/write numbers on your hand for use at the craps table? Trying to teach the wife a betting schedule on when to press and numbers aren't her thing as math is hard...
  12. Correct...
  13. another stupid question that isn't clear - are you only playing the inside numbers with this method? If the come out roll is an 8 (or a 6), do you only put down 2 bets - 5 and 6 (or 8 and 9) and not a 3rd bet on the 4 (or 11?) I assume this is the case since neither the 4 or 11 is on the "schedule"...
  14. Link for us LHN challenged?
  15. So I'm a novice on craps and playing online before a tip to Vegas in a few weeks... If following the HG method, the come out roll is a 10 and i put down bets on the 6,8 and 9. Several rolls later, the 9 hits and there is another come our roll that is a 4. Do I leave the bets on 6,8 and 9 and keep following "the schedule" or do I also also then place a bet on the 5?
  16. Going for the weekend in 2 weeks to meet some friends and haven't been in years. Without reading the whole thread, am I correct that the $20/50/100 handshake is a thing of the past and no use in trying when we check in at the Westin to get a better room?
  17. I tried the trial version of the F1 app and am cancelling it as it thought it sucked. Yes, you have the choice of watching the race from the broadcast view as well as the track positions of the driver or the driver view but you can't do it at the same time... No split screen of mix - let me see broadcast view but hear the specific driver radio I want to gear or pop-up the track position map on demand or as an overlay. They don't make canceling the trial easy either...
  18. They have frozen beef tenderloins for $25ish bucks each (as do most Asian markets). Cut it in half and grill the thick side and use the thinner half (remove the silverskin first) and cut it up into cubes for stirfry. It may be choice grade but it's still a tenderloin... I usually pick up a few when I'm nearby an toss them in the freezer (as well a few bags of frozen dumplings)... (sorry, wrong thread...)
  19. Good street food episode (as a lover of Asian food and having lived out there). Shopped at all the markets (mainly at 99 Ranch The Japanese place and Hong Kong Market) and have eaten at most the "guest" chefs places - Himalaya, Crawfish and Noodles, Fattest Cow, Karan's, Mala's, Blind Goat, Schun and Dumpling Haus. Wish we had an actual "night market"!
  20. We did 10 expat years and the wife is still missing the lifestyle... Unfortunately, I think the expat days are over for awhile and all the majors have slashed their expat packages the last few years so they aren't as attractive anymore... The few guys I know that are overseas are only getting 80% international schools paid by the company, trips home are now economy, etc... It's no longer - "we realize you are making a "sacrifice" of your lifestyle moving overseas so we'll compensate you" to "this is the only job available and if you don't take it, well let you go..." I've got lots of expat friends who got sent home in the last 3 years only to find out, there was no job when they got back. But like @Fudge Nuggets said, I only need a few years so I'd go in a second but knowing it's a one-and-done sort of gig...
  21. So basically, you've been "Ukrained"...
  22. Not a CPA but isn't a bar full of bourbon both a liquid and a depreciating asset? (Asking for a friend...)
  23. You buy less house and buy cheaper cars than you can afford and always try to have "plan b" in your pocket... Data is your friend and its going to be much easier to find another job outside the industry if you have those skills then say, a petrophysicist or a structural geologist... I met up with one of my former bosses this weekend who recently retired and while he's done well, he said that in his neighborhood filled with former O&G guys, the guys with the most retirement money in general were the guys who come from the insurance and banking world... When times are good in O&G, its good (mostly) but you need to always be prepared for an exit strategy...
  24. Muck and Fuzz last night, Mozies for lunch followed by a long afternoon at Hoity Toit (then a power nap) followed by a dinner at Myron’s…. Was a good day…
