  1. Has anyone found the rest of this roll call? For research purposes of course.
  2. They usually fill multiple orders on each cart ... ...when they're open.
  3. 🤘
  4. New York City? Get a rope!!
  5. Salsa Macha Not at all what you're looking for, but I ran across this over the holidays and made a "half batch". It's more like a Chinese chili crisp with olive oil and chipotle instead of peanut oil and Szechuan peppercorns, (though to be honest I did add a few grinds of the Szechuans to the mix). I've had it on breakfast tacos, chicken tacos, roast beef sandwich, etc. It's different for sure, but I like it. Edited to add: It's a Pati Jinich recipe.

That fluorescent orange stuff? Ethereal. Great tamales as well as the aforementioned barbacoa
  9. Those burnt ends were payment for being their Surly marketing exec. You work cheap!
  10. You poor bastard.
  11. Sure, if you want culturally-appropriated gringo tamales. * * TRANSLATION: Not enough lard in the masa. 😉
  12. Alamo Tamales - you can order online, but I never have. I wouldn't miss the opportunity to wave at the tortilla-making ladies through the window. Make sure to get the handmade and not the machine made ones which are smaller, cheaper and "less handmade". They're the best I've found locally and you don't have to worry about how they've been made or kept.
  13. Chip's is decent...
  14. I can't be the only one wondering how you got hold of Jade's chili recipe.
  15. Is the spaghetti on the bottom?
  16. Straight from the horse's mouth. 🤘
  17. Can’t even spell Bjian”
  18. Smoked turkey and coffee braised ham. Pecan and sausage cornbread dressing. Sweet potatoes with pecan crunch and scalloped potatoes. Cream peas, roasted carrots, skillet fried corn, creamed cauliflower casserole. Portuguese rolls with butter and honey. Bourbon pecan pie.
  19. Ha! You're right. But for some reason it's not in the table of contents- Only the spinach soup since its the top of the page I guess. And having no interest in spinach soup, I hadn't scrolled down. Anyway, thanks again for the book and the heads up. The squash soup may make an appearance. AND I'll have to go through the book again more carefully and see what else I missed. 🦃🦃
  20. So a year or two ago I sent Etexhorn13 tree-fiddy, (not really), and he sent me a .pdf of his family's restaurant cookbook, (really!), and as it just so happens, I've been perusing it for something different to add to our typical T'giving repast. So I post to thank him again for his generosity and to point out that the recipe for butternut squash bisque is NOT IN IT!! 😁🤘
  21. For Kenneth Sims!!!
  22. As long as you support heaving beer cans at your stage senator, "c'mon in!".
