  1. When I make potato salad, it usually, but not always, has mustard. Pickles, (and pickle juice), onions, (sometimes green onion including the tops), celery, mayo and mustard. Sometimes jalapeno or poblano. I use different mustards also as I like mustards and am always buying some Earo stuff from Phoenicia here in Houston. Whose "store bought" do you like? (Other than Champ's of course)/ I used to like Roegel's PS before they changed from Baker's Ribs.It was no mustard and had dill herb. They had to change it when they dropped the Baker's Ribs franchise and it's not nearly as good now. I make it that way sometimes too and I still like it. Kenny and Ziggy's has a great mayo potato salad that's slightly sweet. A waitress once told me it's the "heavy mayo" that Champ alluded to above. I love it.
  2. Please tell me you named her after Hank Hill's dog. Congrats, she's gorgeous.
  3. I doubt that it will have a roller coaster, but I can almost guarantee it will have a mihrab.
  4. Trix are for kids!
  5. Yes of course. Thx!
  6. Uhm.....
  7. Serranos. The answer you seek is "serranos".
  8. If you want to help, post about when it's OPEN!
  9. Should have gotten up early and gone to Snow's. You'd be back and napping by now. 😴
  10. Yeah I'd say you're right that the book was used as a source for the screenwriter. I think it makes sense that he would do some research to get a sense of the "atmosphere" for the screenplay. It's pretty cool that you picked up on his apparent plagiarism from a book that old. Its shit like that that really is "What's best in life." 😀
  11. So here are the current ebay listings. The thing to know is that if you want a confirmed genuine one, you will pay extra as it will have been certified by one of three services and "slabbed", meaning put into a permanent holder. To make one into a necklace, you will have to remove it from the case, which will nullify its certification. On the other hand, one that hasn't yet been certified will be cheaper but also a crapshoot. Good luck. It's a cool coin and a great gesture on your part.
  12. Someone up above lamented the loss of Leo's. El Patio on Westheimer bought Leo's recipes and serves a pretty decent rendition. There's a "Leo's" section on the menu.
  13. I've been wrong once before so it's possible it could happen again. We'll see.
  14. TP But wanted to add: I doubt it will be rebuilt as a religious structure. Ultimately it will be rebuilt as a museum. There are just not enough practicing Catholics left in Paris to bother with the expense of rebuilding as a sanctuary. My $0.02, but I would love to be wrong. And I'm not even Christian, much less Catholic.
  15. According to Wiki:
  16. You know it's fake, right? Here's another one.
