  1. Back in the Dark Ages, ('78-'82), I only remember the egg roll carts. The ones I remember were in front of the CoOp, the RLM, and by Littlefield Fountain. There may have been others. I don't remember them selling anything but egg rolls and soda, but they may have. I think the egg rolls were $0.50.
  2. Is this the stupid embarrassing things you've done thread? OK the, I'll admit I had McDs in Amsterdam. It was 3am and the choices were the McDs or the Febo. And we'd already done the Febo. 🤪
  3. You can call in Wed or Thursday. They take credit cards for call in now. Call in orders are to go only and are not sliced. There's a gazebo at the town square a block north of the store. There's also a town park with covered picnic tables on the highway just north of town. Don't forget to get at least half a chicken. You'll wish you'd gotten more. Get a pic with Tootsie and Kerry, (aka Snowman). They're great folks. Enjoy.
  4. Again I say, "Have it like you like it"; (and "I" like gin soaked olives!) 😉
  5. Drink what you want, call it what you want. It's still a free country. But if you offer me a martini, please put gin in it. TIA
  6. As I posted on the old site in 2013: We'll be heading up there this weekend for the fifth annual visit. We get together with family, eat bbq and visit the cemeteries. I have literally dozens of ancestors planted thereabouts. And my little sister. We still miss her and drink to her "often". (I love you darlin'.)
  7. Swirl a dash of vermouth in your chilled martini glass and pour it out. To your shaker add one cup of ice, three ounces of gin, (I like Plymouth and Hendrick's). Shake vigorously until your hands freeze; (I like the ice chips also). Strain into your glass, add two olives. Drain and repeat. Lovely.
  8. Uhmmm. Houston says, "Hey". 😁
  9. The successor band to STB was Jerry's Kids.
  10. Happy America Day! And remember our old motto: "You can't drink all day if you don't start early in the morning."
  11. Only one of those is a Longhorn.
  12. Perfect. Did you do that or find it? Thanks either way.
  13. This. Needs to be sped up to double speed and a Yakety Sax soundtrack.
  14. ^^^^. NoName BBQ. I like it; get busy!
  15. So you decided against going back to WallyWorld, Clark?
  16. Dallas has yet to prove it deserves an HEB.
  17. You guys standing on the Merrick Garland limb forget one thing - The Republicans had both houses. Yeah, they could have drug him up to Congress, made him sit through hours of crawling up his ass questioning like they do every judicial candidate, but HE WAS NEVER EVER GOING TO BE CONFIRMED. They did him a huge favor by telling him not to bother. That's why the Dems didn't make too much of a stink about it at the time. Remember when you expected Hillary to win and in so doing, taking back both houses? Yeah, the plan was to find a really radical judge and cram it up the Republican's ass. You DO remember that, right?
  18. Don't be That Guy. Oh...wait...
