jesus f christ, first pass is a dime that the wr (Klare) just drops, right in his hands. commentator "can't throw the football any more accurately"
Second pass is an airball over the WR's head.
Third pass is a big-time throw with a DL in his face for a big play that the wr actually caught (Georgia transfer CJ Smith with the reception)
Pass #4, another dime to Tibbs, another 1st down
Pass #5, a bit low but the WR (same guy who dropped first pass) makes a great play for a 1st down
Runs for it and gains 1 on the next play. Meh.
2nd-string QB Browne steps in for the 3rd & 4th offensive drives. 3 & out, TO on downs.
Card comes back in and has a dime to nearly convert a 2nd and 12, and a big throw up the middle (Klare, again) for a big 1st down gain, then another 15 yards to (again) Klare, then another 15-yard gain to Tibbs.
My cat has started watching with me.
Next throw is a bit out of the WR's reach (Klare). Deep ball for the EZ broken up by the DB. 3rd & 10, runs for 9. Converts 4th with a great throw to Tibbs. 1st & Goal.
Airball on 1st & Goal that negates what would've been DPI if it had been anything remotely near catchable. Second legit miss by Card all game.
2nd & Goal, under pressure, WR steps out of the back of the EZ, incomplete. 3rd & Goal, easy pitch & catch for a rare Purdue TD.
Halftime
So that's just a half, but... yeah, Purdue's coach is ass, their team is ass, Card actually can make good throws and shows good pocket presence and mobility, often when under pressure because his OL is asstastic. Most incompletions I'm seeing are because the WRs have stone hands.
