  1. I've made poor relationship choices and I'm projecting my horrible experiences onto our former coaching staff, obviously.
  2. "call it, heads or tails" "aw ref it don't make a shit"
  3. You are shitty at reading comprehension and should feel bad about yourself. Go stand in the corner and put your nose in the circle.
  4. I don't think anyone's claiming that. What people are claiming is that they are burying their heads in the sand about the very bad stuff because they happened to enjoy 2004-2009. The opposite of what you're attackin' here.
  5. She wasn't nice. She was sorta fun, and she was not the sort of person you kept photos of even if you hadn't burned them all in a trash fire after pissing over them. A western Pennsylvania 6 at best. Oddly enough, in a weak (and very drunk) moment I googled to see what she'd done with herself (hoping, of course, for dying of face AIDS) and discovered to my horror that some poor sap actually put a ring on it (I hope he gets tested for VD regularly) and she's actually working in some admin job of some kind at the university now. That should've been my first hint that God had given up all hope on humanity and had abandoned the world to the devil.
  6. Rod and Bobby could not possibly be more impressed. his face is the face of a man who regrets his life choices
  7. He does do that often, doesn't he? I mean there were absolutely some great times then, and then there was the rest of the time. Dahobbs is acting like if he even concedes, just a wee bit, that Mack did as much harm as good, that Mack left the program in a worse state than he found it and did so on purpose, that he then has to go whole hog over to the other side and pretend 2005 didn't happen. It ain't like that. There's good and bad there. It's like that one girlfriend that was so much fun up until she cheated on you several times. You can still think fondly on the fucking while hating her ever loving guts for the betrayal at the end. Go die in a fire, Erin, I still hate your fucking bread-dough-smelling cunt you ftdr CC vh
  8. who's this WE kemosabe? just that asshole over there
  9. It wasn't breaks. Breaks is what got us there. A shitty O-Line is what kept us from it... both years.
  10. We had Saban signed until Mack caught wind of it and axed the deal. If Mack didn't do that, there's no Strong nor Herman.
  11. πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ ☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️
  12. I mean, both statements are correct. He got lazy and hung around too long, destroying most of what he built by accident. The he deliberately went scorched earth when we cut the cancer out, making the rebuild that much longer and worse.
  13. And by omitting all the other games, you're literally proving my point for me. That's what everyone who "can't hate" Mack needs to get. It's not just the laziness that led to him leaving the program in even worse shape than he found it; it's the calculated and deliberate effort to sabotage what was left to ensure we would take a while to rebuild, from telling recruits and players to leave, to sabotaging the Saban hire, etc. I don't forget the good times, but I can't forget the bad, either. And the bad was REALLY bad.
  14. You aren't remembering those years well enough. Like what was our record vs OU during that time?
  15. You can't rebuild something you slowly tore down in the first place. I didn't hate Mack. I wanted to wish him well. But the intervening years have shown the true prophecy in the immortal words of texlarry, "I'm stunned. I'm pissed. It's Mack Brown." From his "nice guy"act being just that -- an act, to the poor decisions he made prior to the 2004 season, to the bad decisions he made after 2009... That MNC in 05 has more to do with Dick Tomey's all-too-brief influence than anything Mack did right. Remember that Mack didn't even want Vince; he had to be convinced by Brewster to do it, and after that, they had to lose a lot of games before Gerg would start calling plays that worked to his strengths. Even our OL in '05 was lightning in a bottle. We had an OL coach that could recruit but couldn't develop in Nunez, replaced by one who could develop but couldn't recruit in McWhorter; 2005 was McWhorter having had a few years training up Nunez's guys. And outside of those years, you saw Texas doing less with more at best; in the waning years, he was doing less with less. The times were MOSTLY frustrating. Even our frustrations with Sark now pale in comparison to what we had to live with back then. What y'all like is the myth of Mack Brown, colored by forgetfulness of the bad and over emphasis on the good.
  16. holy shit "If Brown really believes his purpose in life isn’t to win football games but to impart life lessons and inspire teenagers to do great things in life, there are multiple outlets for him that don’t require finishing ninth in the ACC or collecting a $5 million annual salary."
  17. Chance Mock seems very Surly. If you say his name fast it sounds like "Treason." I don't think there's a lot of future prediction value on their review of aggy's Defense. You can't expect them to make these kinds of mistakes; first, because they hadn't been making mistakes like that previously, and second, because they're going to be fired up and prepared for this game. All that said, our worst opponent has been ourselves all season, no matter the opponent. When our opponents do well, it's almost always due to our own errors, shooting ourselves in the foot.
  18. You know, your post got me thinking ... why the heck haven't I put you on ignore yet?
