    Bert!

He also was the goddamn Kicker Whisperer
  2. Look, the whole reason the laissez-faire dipshits and the ayn rand fuckers do what they do is because capitalism, when it works, provides a win-win scenario to everyone; their flaw is that they think it always does. The dumbassery YOU are espousing here is the equal and opposite newtonian drivel; it's no less naive, and no more deserving of serious consideration. Every system that works does a combination of social services and regulated capitalism; you apply capitalism when the profit motive benefits the public good (which is most of the time) and socialize when it creates perverse incentives (jails, healthcare, etc), and regulate it so that there are rules. this ain't nam, there are rules
  3. Bah, now THIS is propaganda. Capitalism was always about providing a product or service. Anyone who says otherwise is uneducated.
  4. I mean this doesn't impact free speech at all; they can still say whatever they want, they just can't call it "news."
  5. Exactly what value does the business provide? The answer is none. That's a cornerstone of capitalism: You offer a product or service. All they're doing here is price controls... hey wait, THAT sounds like communism! So ACKSHUALLY, I'm being anti-commie here, and it's these corporations that are the REAL communists!
  6. a little bit is better than nada sometimes you want the whole enchilada a little bit is better than nada...
  7. I don't get it. We DO have rules in this country about false advertisement. You can't call your product "bourbon" if it doesn't have a certain percentage of corn. You can't call something "chocolate" if it isn't made with actual chocolate. And you can't call it "cheese" if it's been processed to hell and back. Why the heck do we allow whatever it is Fox sells to be called "news?"
  8. Need to make corporate ownership of single family homes illegal. There's just no good reason for that.
  9. been pretty successful just with liking, reshares and blocks tho
  10. the way y'all were talking i thought it was mid game or something, when it's actually just the middle of the 1st
  11. ordered the guitar hooks, y'all convinced me, though now I've gotta find a new place for the Dave Kellett sketches Sondery Guitar Hanger Wall Mount, Auto Lock and Adjustable Hook Holder for Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Ukulele, Bass, Banjo and Mandolin, NOT for Nitro Finish https://a.co/d/7nWojXR re: tiny guitars, I've got enough trouble fitting my fingers onto a REGULAR guitar's fretboard, much less one of those itty bitty things...
  12. sorc can one-shot entire encounters tho, which is nice
  13. I'd love to, but
  14. My son just killed Lae'zel in camp with his main. All I'll say is that I'm really, really glad I let Lae'zel's story play out. When you get to, oh, beginning of Act 3? You'll see what's up. That said, I roll with the exact same party you do pretty much all the time unless there's a story reason to drag someone out of camp. It's your four basic food groups right there -- fighter, cleric, mage (me!), thief.
  15. We've got to go lower!
  16. I think I noticed a lot more of it in Act 3. Also helps to have the right group; some characters interact with each other more. I pretty much had to kick Lae'zel to the curb to keep her from fighting Shadowpanties all the time in Act 1.
  17. this is shamelessly stolen from Tope Imade's Reddit AMA from last week. Highly recommend reading it, if only for the "Ok, Tope" story.
  18. I don't really feel any pain about those QB classes, or the 2013 class in particular now. I felt the pain then, at the time. It would still hurt now if our recruiting and coaching weren't what they (mostly) are right now.
  19. Thanks. Dunno that I need wall art, but "the stand never gets used" is a pretty strong argument. Also, looking into the stands, those that claim to fit a cello then say (*3/4ths or smaller) -- not a full-sized cello, not even a 7/8ths-hacked-into-full-length-sized one like mine. Though I confess I'm still leaning towards the stand because I'm lazy about finding an attractive location, drilling holes, etc. Also my room's a work in progress still and I don't have a spot that I'm convinced will be permanent...
