  1. Slacked on the text from earlier, but in now! Good cause, y’all. This is part of the reason why we started Heart/TOF!
  2. One thing about this that just really highlights the difference between the two parties is how they will react. Imagine for a moment if Biden took this ruling and did something that looked even slightly like it was for personal gain? The media would thrash him for it, many in the Democratic party would thrash him for it, and many of his voters would stay home. But if Trump were in office, he would immediately do something so wild that was obviously beyond the pale, and nobody would bat an eye (e.g., lead a crowd to overthrow the government). The parties play by different rules because voters hold them to different standards. As much as I wash Biden would be like "OK, let's fucking do this then, here's EO No's 1-100" and even if I personally agreed with every order, I truly believe it would tank his campaign because "that's not what a good Democrat should do!"
  3. In theory, that should make it easier. Ultra vires analysis can get pretty murky. But when somebody completely blows past the line, then it becomes a very simple decision. The problem is that it's clear the decision makers don't want to have to make the decision. And yes, I acknowledge that it's not unusual for the SC to issue an opinion like this where they lay out the guidelines and then kick it back down for the COA to rule on whether those lines were crossed. My complaint is simply how long it took. There's no good reason why a ruling as important as this shouldn't be moved to the front of the line in every court it comes into. And the SC should immediately come back into session as soon as the COA issues a ruling. Maybe Biden should order them to do so, and if they don't, have them arrested for treason or something. Seems like requiring 1 of 3 branches of the government to do their job would surly be an official action subject to absolute immunity.
  4. Why would that count? That’s a perfect parking job
  5. Damn, get racked in the nuts then dispersed into the wind
  6. Who plans a trip to the beach and doesn’t pay attention to the weather forecast?
  7. Having trouble finding a good answer about dealing with whatever this is. I’m guessing it’s a kind of fungal/mold problem, but the solutions I’ve read all seem to be scrubbing the shit off by hand. This is a huge fucking cactus and ain’t no way I’m doing that. Any suggestions on a spray or something?
  8. I'm no expert, but I can count lines. Assuming each noodle has the same odds as any other, the likelihood it hits Texas seems to be pretty low.
  9. @JGHorn That's the second time in the last day or so your posts have included a blank quote of my post. Your shit's borked, bruh
  10. Then you're being willfully obtuse and blinded by your emotions. It's painfully obvious who is to blame for that. And even if it wasn't as obvious as it is, the relationship between CDC and Schloss should make it abundantly clear that CDC had absolutely nothing to do with the story getting out Monday morning.
  11. This has been reported before. I think the clause actually provided for a different buyout if he left for another in-state school, but it's pretty obvious who they had in mind.
  12. Stop giving this nonsense any light of day. Nothing he did was immoral. It's a fucking job. Whether he moved for more money, his good relationship with CDC, his bad relationship with the Aggy AD, his obvious annoyance with their fan base at times throughout the season, or something else entirely, it doesn't fucking matter. He clearly didn't give up on the team or sabotage shit. The deal was in place long before Monday night. If he had given up on the team, it would've shown much earlier than the final two games of the season. He took them to within an out of their first national championship. Nobody accused him of making any questionable personnel calls. They just got barely outplayed by a more talented Tennessee team. I would argue that a coach leaving mid-season isn't even "immoral." Shitty, yeah, not immoral though. But taking the team that close to a title and then moving on to his new gig after the season was over isn't the slightest bit immoral AT ALL. Would waiting a week make it better somehow? Two weeks? Because that delay affects your new employer while causing equal damage to your old one. Or is staying in your job until retirement the only acceptable path these mouth breathers deem acceptable?
  13. Fuck outta here with that. It was a stupid question that the reporter knew would not and could not be answered in an acceptable way. It was to draw attention upon himself and whatever outlet he worked for, nothing else. It was bullshit, he knew it, and Schloss answered with the dignity and respect due to such a hack.
  14. Taking another job after the season ends is "at least equal if not worse" than throwing the World Series to make money? I don't know why I'm constantly amazed by how fucking stupid they are, but this is an exceptionally hot take.
  15. My money is on it will "leak" when either: a) CDC says it's ok to do so, because if there was anybody shitty enough to leak already in the know, they would've done so by now (see, Kurt Bohls), or b) players from a certain school all of a sudden start hitting the portal and/or talking about it after a team meeting. Like with Sark, we'll know before the official announcement.
  16. Think of who you're talking about. Gonna need you to be way more specific when referencing a weird video.
  17. You think the decision wasn't already made prior to last night? Like, the dumbass rumor that "whoever loses will be the new hire" were real? Think about how stupid that sounds. Whether it's Schloss or Vitello, last night's game didn't have any bearing on the decision.
  18. So yeah, uh, there was a slight mixup, quite silly if you think about it. Schloss and Vitello have the exact same set of luggage, and Schloss accidentally grabbed Vitello's stuff when he left last night and nobody realized until he landed in Austin. CDC, being the classy guy he is, sent the plane to Knoxville to return it.
  19. Meh. He's not a "great" coach, but he's not a bad one either. He can be good somewhere else. But "good" just doesn't cut it here.
  20. Why do people keep saying we're Schloss's rival? Far as I know, he never had any connection to A&M prior to taking the HC gig. Is it stemming from his time at TCU? If so, he coached for like 10 years while A&M was still in the conference also.
  21. As fa as I can tell, they will not have the rights to air any live games, regardless of whether they're broadcast somewhere else or not. Live football statcast is clearly stated as being available, but I'm unsure as to what they mean by "play by play" radio. Is that for all games, all sports (except when there's a conflict between two sports)? Is it just the regular OTA radio broadcasts that have always been available locally (or non-locally with the right app)? That seems most likely to me, but hopefully it's more.
  22. Did they represent everything Texas “A&M” though? Cuz I don’t think I saw that on their jerseys.
  23. We aren’t known for being reckless with contracts. If it’s in that ballpark, that’d almost assuredly be for the entire staff, not just the HC. That could also be the total possible if all performance incentives are met. I don’t have a fucking clue, but I refuse to believe CDC would do something completely out of character like that, even considering all the non-tangible aspects of poaching him from the sheepfuckers. One way or the other, guess we’ll know soon enough if all this is just silly internet gossip. One thing I do believe, without having heard it anywhere other than internet chatter from people I know nothing about, is that Pierce leaked it to Bowels as a final fuck you from both of them.
