  1. Random people get maced in front of cops, the attacker then fights with said cops, and then they're just allowed to walk away? I'd agree that too many lines get crossed at protests these days, but this wouldn't fly anywhere.
  2. I don't think I've ever been asked that question. Keys, on the other hand, is daily, even though I have my own set for her car because her key ring is fucking massive and can't be carried in one's pocket. It's frankly amazing she's even capable of loosing that monstrosity.
  3. Yeah. The senate building, overlooking the center of Red Square, was clearly the target. You don't have two misses hit in the same wrong spot. Also, on rewatching the two videos, the second drone actually does look like it came in from the West, unlike the first which came in from the East. So, likely two different launch points, which makes it even more unlikely they both missed their intended target. Unless it comes out that Putin was in the Senate building, in which case, he must be shitting himself knowing that somebody has the means to track his exact location AND put explosives on that location.
  4. Nah, the second drone looks like it actually hit the base of the flag pole and caused a small fire. The first one appears to have exploded in the air causing little to no damage, Those guys were walking up during the first one. Possibly to put out the expected fire, maybe to plant a small explosive if both drones failed, maybe security on a regular patrol...doubt we ever get an answer on that unless more videos come out.
  5. So they want everyone to believe Ukraine launched multiple slow-moving drones that flew >500 miles, into the most heavily defended air space in the country, didn't go straight for the target but rather swung around and attacked from the east, and only bothered to put a few M80s on them? I don't see how that does anything good for them. If true, it should be seen as an epic failure by Russia. I wonder if it's somehow tied in with the reports that Russian troops had recently received a bunch of Ukrainian military uniforms for a likely staged "terrorist" attack.

  7. Richard Gere would like to know more about this β€œtorture.” Yeah, that’s right. I made a cultural reference from 20 or so years ago. And I’ll fucking do it again
  8. That doesn’t change his statement or the correct answer
  9. Interesting path for this guy. Just got out of the marines sometime in 2022, then went to Ukraine in November. Doesn't look like there was any disciplinary reasons why he got out. Wonder if it was for the sole purpose of going over to fight? Either way, he died doing what he truly believed in. Can't ask for much more than that in death.
  10. Well, most everyone here is relatively intelligent, many with actual knowledge and understanding of the military, and most importantly, a real person. None of which is true about Twitter.
  11. That's really cool. The US Air Force OR the Army, could individually take on the entire combined air fleet of Russia and have a substantial advantage.
  12. From near the end of that balcony video above, it looked like a Gepard or other type of AA gun firing. Since there weren't any hits on the ground, I assume they were also succesful in knocking down whatever was incoming (maybe just drones, but either way, that's great to see a 100% success rate from).

  14. I’ve said this up thread somewhere, but before the invasion of paddle boards the only people that ever went into the water was Texas Crew, that one pontoon tour boat company, and the occasional canoes from Zilker. The massive increase in the lake being turned into a recreational area would naturally lead to an increase in people thinking it was safe to swim in, especially young folks that haven’t lived here long. The number of deaths would naturally correlate to the enormous shift in it becoming a recreational body of water.
  15. There’s no way you can possibly look at these two situations the same way. You couldn’t dismiss someone getting blown up by saying they were drunk and wandering around alone. There was obviously someone responsible for making bombs. There isn’t any other possibility in that situation.

Choose temperature. Passenger: Designated texter. If child, shut the fuck up. If adult, you may tell me entertaining stories. Back seat: If child, shut the fuck up. If adult, you may tell me entertaining stories.

  23. Truly the oldest stuff would be baseball cards, but if current-use is required, it’s various tools I started buying around 10 years old when my old man bought me a car to fix up. Guarantee many of my sockets and wrenches are ~30 years old, probably lots of other stuff as well. Gonna keep my eyes open for a few days thinking about this. Probably something actually cool/interesting I’m forgetting.
  24. Think that’s basically illegal everywhere.
