  1. Well, no. I don’t pay people in advance. But it’s also pretty ballsy to share your ID with someone you’re scamming. Assuming the ID is real, which could’ve been verified.
  2. Unless the gorilla has been trained how to defend against a sword, I don’t need any training to know how to gut him with it. I wouldn’t even need the other 4 dudes
  3. What am I missing here?
  4. Well, it’s a Toyota, so I’m pretty sure she meant TRD Girl, just like it says. Turns out I wasn’t on the wrong thread. The wordle stuff threw me off
  5. Who would win between Tyson at his peak or 100 unarmed 12 year olds? The answer to me seems obvious, and I think the gorilla has a bigger advantage than that.
  6. I had no idea Kevin was a water buffalo or whatever that thing is
  7. Ah, you had me confused by calling it a fruit. Although it's not botanically a fruit, I understand what you meant now.
  8. Which one?
  9. Huh? Are you suggesting a bond election to raise $171 million across all Austin tax payers and then use it to fund Democratic campaigns?
  10. So, they’re supposed to be closer together or something?
  11. The last guy. Holy shit that was hilarious
  12. She didn’t have the ability to stop him. Elected Republicans do. That was the entire point of my post. They’re all following along, some because they actually do want all this evil shit, but it doesn’t take very many to stop him. There’s enough that aren’t fully onboard but they’re just too cowardly to stand up and risk being primaried
  13. I figured it was part of the schtick
  14. lol. Maybe. She bought it April 2, so basically the exact same value as today. I don’t believe it’s possible for them to sustain that value with the whole world basically protesting Musk. And if he leaves, the value crashes even further
  15. Seriously?!? This is the first I’m hearing they actually expect stimulus checks… but it’s based solely on the fact we got Covid checks? Like, his platform is just to give us money for no reason? I mean, my firm did quite well processing PPP loans, so I wouldn’t complain about something like that as the economy craters due to tariffs. Maybe we’re on to something here. Fuck it. Bring on the pain, baby!
  16. But we’re all ill informed now because the FDA isn’t reporting on outbreaks anymore. You’ll just have to rely on word of mouth. Might just have to give up chicken for the foreseeable future
  17. What? Damn near every elected Republican cowered to him. That's why he’s in office. If only a handful of them would actually standup, he would’ve been removed from office during one of his prior impeachments. They could also do it now. Or, they could just do their jobs and cut out this tariff bullshit, pass some laws re: immigration and deportation, laws to make it even more clear that due process fucking matters. They could do something to get more gear and equipment to Ukraine. I can go on for days. They simply aren’t standing up to the bully.
  18. I don’t really know where to post this, but I just found out my MIL cashed out a bunch of blue chip stocks and dropped a couple hundred grand into Tesla over the last couple weeks. Fuck. At least, I’ve been told it’s only a couple hundred. God help us if it’s a lot more than that.
  19. Yeah, I’m waiting to see more on that. Because at face value, it seems very very bad. From what I gather, the allegation is that she told the dude and his attorney to leave her courtroom through a side door, after somehow being made aware that there were ICE agents in the courthouse coming for him. I don’t think that’s illegal. Is his attorney also guilty of obstructing an investigation? What if I have a client that I know is going to get arrested if they show up for a hearing that I could attend for them myself, and I tell them “just stay home, I’ll make the appearance for you” … is that illegal?
  20. The article says his wife is going pro se on the habeas action. That seems very ill advised considered how shady the other side seems to be acting in some/all? of the other cases. I’m surprised there isn’t a big firm or two taking on all of these cases in some form or fashion. And likely for free or very reduced cost. Immigration attorneys, in my opinion and experience, are by far the most passionate of our profession. They aren’t chasing money, it’s truly a calling for them.
  21. Crazy this matches our best 1st round total
  22. Nice
  23. Hell yeah
  24. Uhhh
