  1. Dove season comin’, only 26 more days. 53 days until whitetail archery opener. Had a lot of fun this spring/summer dialing this guy in for deer and hogs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Brad Nessler for sure. It's a shame he's on a team with the asshat Gary Danielson, but Brad has the voice and the tempo for it and I'll listen to the CBS broadcasts if only for his calls. Love Craig Way for anything, but one thing I really enjoy is when he's flabbergasted by a call the officials made. When he's openly shocked at a call, you know it's a bad one.
  3. Dean Mortimer has a history of satire on aggy sites. Hard to believe, but some of them (such as a few guys on Goodbull Hunting) do have some self awareness about how ridiculous they are. Doesn't change the fact that they're aggy, however
  4. Not pictured, more saltines Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Allergies have been kicking my ass as of late, often at random times where I'm not exposed to cedar or animals, two things I know I'm allergic to. Suggestions and pricing for an allergist in the Austin area? I have an HSA and high deductible plan, so I'll be funding any trips to the doctor through that.
  6. Been meaning to post this, shot this guy over opening bow weekend in Mason. Tons of pigs out there right now. Got him made into some sausage that I cooked the other night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Been on a stretch of decent golf since last Friday. Shot 42-40 at Kizer and then a 43-36 at Mo Willy. First time I've shot even par on any 9, have had a few 37's before. Amazing what happens when you don't give up strokes to double bogeys and can squeeze in a few birdies on a side. Played Jimmy Clay yesterday with a buddy of mine and shot 43-40 from the blacks. It was empty out there, so we both had a little fun and played some old blades, Hogans for me and Wilson Staff for him. Haven't played those since college, it was fun to bust them out again. Going out to Vegas this weekend, playing Las Vegas National on Saturday morning (buddy's dad is paying, so I just said yes when he said he wanted to play there). Any wise words about the course?
  9. Walked 18 on Sunday at Kizer and shot an 84 with four doubles, a quad, a birdie, and an eagle. Lost/water balls and penalty strokes killed me and created all of those big numbers. Bought a push cart yesterday, hoping it can keep me from being so damn tired after a round since I like to walk.
  10. Just as a reminder from oSuJeff97 from the other site: "Yeah so let's hash this out... I think Felker's recurring characters are: Jimmy - mentioned/subject in The Funeral and The Mercury; is likely the narrator of Good Lord Lorrie. Lorrie - mentioned/subject in The Mercury, Good Lord Lorrie and The Housefire; is also very likely "that girl" mentioned in The Bird Hunters. Unnamed Narrator - narrates The Bird Hunters, The Mercury, The Housefire and The Winding Stair Mountain Blues. Danny - Unnamed Narrator's friend in The Bird Hunters. Possibly the troubled friend of Unnamed Narrator in The Winding Stair Mountain Blues. One I'm not sure about is Easton & Main. The narrator could either be Jimmy or Unnamed Narrator as it talks about following/chasing a girl from the country to Tulsa. What do you think? Did I miss any? :)" This is a damn good summary and easy to steal...however, it's some other girl in Tulsa in The Bird Hunters (because that doesn't seem like Lorrie at all, and because he's talking about someone in Tulsa in Easton & Main on the album and their original EP), and he comes back to town to come together with Lorrie in "The Mercury" and "The Housefire". The more I look at it, it's the narrator that chases the girl not named Lorrie to Tulsa.
  11. On a lease this year in Mason County with some turkey. Never been before, but going to hopefully join someone who's turkey hunted before. Any general turkey tips for someone who hasn't hunted them before?
  12. Played Saturday at Clay and shot 44/40. Been in that 82-85 range for the past couple of rounds, just a couple double bogeys (mostly due to hazards) away from getting in that high 70's range. Company tournament is this weekend out at Star Ranch. Booze paid for and it's a scramble, so it should be a hell of a time.
