  1. Boy, Quinn is all over the fucking place when he throws the ball down the field. Not great.
  2. We are gonna rue that Salah contract extension. That post-AFCON form of his has not tilted the other way yet and now we’re paying him £350K/week to play that way. I’m sure those cheap bastards at FSG are also going to contracts like that as justification for why we can’t spend in the transfer market.
  3. This squad feels so broken; it feels like a miracle to score these days. Those three goalless cup finals were an omen. Scott Parker deserved to get sacked for giving up 9 against this useless bunch.
  4. Why the fuck did we sub off Trent for Milner? I have zero faith in Klopp at this point. This guy subbed on this decrepit corpse at RB and he proceeds to get cooked over and over.
  5. He looked the part at Barcelona early, but has depreciated in every passing season. Hoping that Klopp can somehow revitalize what has turned out to be a disappointing European venture for him.
  6. It is literally impossible for our team to play through the middle. Every single movement in attack is constructed with the intention of getting the ball out wide so that we can hoof in another inshallah cross. It’s so diabolical.
  7. Calling him a statue might be generous. Man, the guy plays like he’s in quicksand. Unreal that we really aren’t gonna do any transfer business here…the team is in shambles.
  8. Klopp’s loyalty to specific players is proving his undoing. Henderson had already lost a step after the EPL title and has been in gradual decline ever since. Milner is way past it; Bobby is way past it; Robertson looks nothing like his prime self and Trent and VVD look like shadows of themselves. Maybe it’s simply a difference in ownership, but Pep seems MUCH more ruthless in determining fits for his squad. If Klopp was in charge of City, he might still be running Fernandinho and David Silva in MF. Pep is constantly rotating and tinkering with his personnel in search of perfection.
  9. Seems like we’re at the end of our rope here. Would say it’s alright to have a rebuild year to let some of the younger guys get minutes to either prove themselves or get gone, but not at the expense of UCL football. I think there’s a 50%+ chance that we don’t qualify when you look at the quality of the table. Our offensive woes are not over.
  10. I used to think it was obvious that it was FSG holding back our transfer business, but Klopp is honestly so bizarrely vocal in his defense of our midfield options that it leaves me wondering whether he’s part of the issue. Every other manager in the EPL is pretty candid when they need new players but Klopp continues to trot out players like Henderson and Milner without fail…those last 10 minutes were hard to watch; it’s like our entire litany of ideas sums to “send in another cross to a short guy who is outnumbered 3-to-1.”
  11. Red card for Nunez - might as well be game over considering our strategy was just spamming crosses to him.
  12. What did the fucking grounds crew do to the grass today? I’ve seen two dozen slips from our players tonight.
  13. Not sure there’s somebody outside of Fabio who might meet the criteria. Ironically, Fekir would be a perfect MF these days. He would have killed it for us had his agent not screwed everything up.
  14. Every team we play is more than happy to be organized and compact and funnel everything to the wings. Elliott has been a bright spot today in MF, but we’re running into a lot of the same issues. We really need someone on the ball who can drive forward in the middle of the field to suck defenders out and create space behind. Our midfield basically looks to pass (mostly sideways) as soon as they receive the ball and it makes the attack predictable.
  15. It’s hard to believe Naby would be left out of the squad without a knock. Tried half-heartedly on Twitter to find something, but didn’t see anything. Our biggest issue with this standard MF we run is that there’s no ball carrier and there’s no pace. Fab is 28, Thiago is 31, and Hendo is 32 and it shows against teams that organize a rampant press. We don’t really have a way to progress the ball through dribbling (like Coutinho used to do…) whereas teams like City have players like KDB, Bernardo, Grealish, Foden, etc. who all generally excel on the ball. We really need somebody who can take on defenders and suck attention away from the forward line for a final pass. It also seems obvious that Henderson’s best role is as a 6, but that’s Fab’s position so we’re forcing him through as an 8. He’s just so slow now and seems to freak out and hoof the ball under any pressure.
  16. Please go out and buy a midfielder. You might as well throw in the towel on the league if you don’t. If it’s a hammy, Thiago is out for multiple matches. Henderson is way past it. Keita wasn’t even in the squad today; Ox is hurt. Just not enough difference makers at the position.
  17. This is fucking embarrassing. I can’t remember a time we looked worse.

  19. He played in the US Open. He lost to Medvedev.
  20. I loathe Djokovic (his beliefs, his personality, his style of play) but Nick is such a disgrace, man. Absolute clown who wilts at the slightest signs of pressure and spends more time verbally abusing his team, the umpire, and line judges than he does playing tennis.
  21. Sick to my stomach for Rafa. 19-0 in Grand Slam matches this year and can’t go for the calendar slam due to a fluke abdominal tear. He was never the favorite over Djokovic on grass but he would have had a puncher’s chance if he were healthy.
  22. He’s radiated nothing but positivity off the back of his recent nerve treatment regarding the pain in his foot, so I don’t know how you could draw that conclusion. He looked good in his warmup matches at Hurlingham, too. I’d be surprised if he didn’t play every slam in 2023 (pending a new injury) even with a kid on the way. He does not want to concede the slam race to Novak.
  23. We can’t hit fucking fastballs, man. This team is lost.
