  1. Yeah, that guy is the GOAT. Christ almighty.
  2. We need a goal. We need Bobby and Shaq on. It doesn't matter if we weather the storm and lose 2-0. We are not going to win by 3+ goals at Anfield.
  3. Need a goal here or the tie is over. I have no idea what the fuck happened there.
  4. C'mon, Milner. That should have been as easy goal.
  5. I can't believe we ever rooted for this cheating hack Suarez.
  6. really dumb play by Milner.
  7. Henderson has got to close down with more intent there to stop the cross. It was a Robbo-quality delivery and great run, though.
  8. He might work his way into shape, but he just looks so lumbering and heavy footed out there to me. I don’t think it’s his skill set that’s diminished...his mobility is just lackluster to me. He could usually overcome superior shotmakers with insane defense and win wars of attrition but not sure he has the legs now.
  9. I think Roland Garros is wide open this year, boys.
  10. Except when he hits the post on a seemingly empty net!
  11. Holy crap, Sadio is a world class header of the ball at this point.
  12. Well, that's quite the banana shot.
  13. That’s a howler by Bobby. Ugh.
  14. Yelich is on pace for a cool 96 homers this year.
  15. Pep + all the money in the world - Messi = not enough to win the Champions League, clearly. He's proven it six years in a row since he left Barca!
  16. Hazard is destroying our offsides trap right now. His runs are ridiculous.
  17. What a goddamn goal.
  18. I do think Man U dominated the flow of the game in between minutes 15-60 when they were relentless with their high press. Barca were uncharacteristically flustered by it; Busquets was weirdly rattled by pressure and Arthur/Rakitic were largely invisible during that stretch. They managed to hunker down in the box to limit chances, but it was still weird to see. Luckily, Man U didn’t have the legs to keep up that press for 90 minutes. the xG map just makes it look like an ugly game...which it certainly was. I should have watched Ajax/Juve in hindsight. I imagine Camp Nou will be a different story and will be a 2-0/3-1 type scoreline in Barca’s favor.
  19. Frankly, it doesn't matter. My original claim was essentially that Valverde is annoyingly conservative in his tactics & personnel choices with no shortage of talent on his roster and it leads to a lot of "control-based" play where they don't create the thrills we saw under Pep and Enrique. It looks like Man U have lost some of their juice and aren't pressing here post-60th minute mark, so I imagine Barca is going to be able to slide in between the lines and create another goal here before it's over.
  20. Are you drunk? Man U dominated from 15+ minutes onwards. Barcelona toiled away dinking it around before carelessly turning it over in their own half just about every time they got the ball. They got lucky on one bad bounce leading to a Coutinho shot, but other than that, Man U have marched through the MF in 3-4 passes almost every time they touch it. Barcelona are way too dependent on Messi magic when they set up this way; they need Dembele to stretch Man U on the counter. Their spacing is poor and they have no speed to break out right now.
  21. Valverde's loser tactics make Barcelona such a bore to watch despite a stacked roster.
  22. Any manager who plays a high line against us without world class talent on their roster should be fired. I can't even comprehend why you'd think it's a good idea.
  23. Bobby took a little too long there to get it off his foot. Defender closed down quick...great find by Keita.
  24. That was great combination play in the box between Mane/Bobby/Keita. Great start!
