My wife teaches in the district that is ground 0 for where the controversy was and they were clueless about CRT.  In her case, it's middle school.  I had never heard of it prior and believe it to be a college offering. I laughed out loud when driving in Kitty Hawk North Carolina and seeing a large business sign labeled CRT.  Talk about an unfortunate turn of events.

Not the first company whose name had an unfortunate collision with world events.

"Part of the reason we’re working on this project so hard is because wealthy people in our country are always going to have access [to abortions], so once again it’s a time now where poor, people of color, marginalized individuals, are gonna suffer --and by suffering I mean like lives lost," Autry said.

She explained that this ship will operate on federal waters — nine miles from the coast of Texas and three from the coast of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi — where it can evade those states' abortion restrictions. PRROWESS will arrange for patients to be transported to the ship, which will vary depending on where they are coming from, once they pass a pre-screening process.

Where would this boat dock?  Go into port at any state on the Gulf of Mexico and I suspect everything will be seized and people arrested.  Just seems easier to travel to a friendly state/nation for a procedure where the operating room is not rocking.

British citizens were armed.  With weapons that could super efficiently fire 4 bullets per minute!

Yeah, but what's the weight of the bullet and muzzle velocity, exactly?  Details matter. <Ducks>

Don't want to hear a word about welfare from people against abortion. Gonna be more poor single women needing help.

Crime will go up in 15-20 years as more unwanted children are being born.

If you're a fan of Freakanomics you may recall Levitt's paper about abortion access and the tie in with falling rates of violent crime in the 1990's.

We'll all need more concealed weapons to protect ourselves in about 20 years.  'merica!

Within the next five years, this Supreme Court will require states to grant equal state funding to both public schools and private religious schools.

Some Satanic churches need to set up schools pronto.  Let's see what they think about that.

How well would they do if Poland and Estonia both said fuck this and started lobbing missiles onto Russian supplies/manufacturing?

I have no idea how NATO would handle such a scenario.  Does Article 5 even apply if a NATO member attacks another country (Russia in this case) first and then Russia retaliates?

And the filibuster isn’t even an actual filibuster. Today a senator only has to anonymously declare they’re “filibustering” and the senate processes halt. When you see a senator performing the historic filibuster actions, like Cruz reading Dr. Seuss books, that’s only for show. It’s unnecessary.

Is the filibuster actually anonymous?  If true, fuck that shit.  Make them own it.

I do see the advantage of the fake filibuster in the sense that other business in the Senate can move forward.  However, in this current political climate that's somewhat questionable anyway.  If we won't get rid of the filibuster then maybe we should return to its original form.  Make the fuckers own it and parade them in front of the nation showing them gumming up the works.  And for what?

You realize those transplants coming from California aren't coming from the Blue areas, right? They're making the state redder.

We ran into a restaurant owner in rural California who sang Texas' praises when he found out we had lived there in the past.  He expressed a desire to move there one day.  In a restaurant covered in God and Jesus references and knick knacks his highest praise was that Texas knew how to execute people.  You know, just like Jesus stated in his sermon on the mount.  If he fits the average pattern of migrants into the state then Texas is indeed fucked.
