  1. Prah-leen is the only way I heard it growing up in Louisiana. Only when moving to Texas did I hear it pronounced the other way. My wife insists on Pray-leen. She's just wrong.
  2. Alternative for Germany, far right political party. Alarmingly, just came in second in the EU elections in Germany. Members have engaged in various forms of violence, bribery and accepting money from Russian sources (gasp!). I was in Germany a couple of weeks ago and yes, their political posters around the towns all look mostly tame. Not a swastika to be found! But Elmo obviously didn't look much deeper at their underlying actions, motives and history.
  3. Dead Presidents (and a couple of other dead people) are on US currency. So, they need to take care of the prerequisite first. We're waiting.
  4. Estonia certainly has my vote of praise, for more than one reason.
  5. Fixed it for him. Just a slight tweak. He's so close!
  6. Trump is trying to cheat Truth Social founders out of their shares? No way! https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-sues-truth-social-co-founders-says-not-entitled-stock-shares-rcna146106 Welcome to the Face Eating Leopard Society gentlemen!
  7. Assortative mating = Eugenics Who's got that on their bingo card? His assertion that there's been a massive rise in exceptionally smart people recently seems to fly in the face of the even larger amount of data present in the form of social media. Yet he thinks we'll all be Big Head Bighetti in the future.
  8. Katie Porter? Damn. I guess now I should be happy she lost in the Senate primary.
  9. Great minds think (exactly) alike (at nearly the same time using the exact same words)? Could that be it? It's chilling that there are millions of people around the world who fall for this shit.
  10. In this day and age, I have to recognize that this could be a hoax. But Eliot Higgins reposted it, so presumably there's something to it. Just how much more obvious does it need to be stated? This moron is a threat to the Republic.
  11. Who can say? But certainly some supporters here have in the US hyped up that 60% (or whatever the percentage was) of all Ukrainian aid was spent here in the US. So playing it up as a "jobs program" may have placated some of their electorate sitting on the fence about the issue.
  12. Interestingly, a small part of the ammo shortage problem might attributed to European unwillingness to source ammo from outside of Europe. Germany, Czechia and now France are among those willing to find the tools the Ukrainians need wherever they may be. Germany's looking to procure some from India.
  13. For those who call for the Europeans to donate their "fair share" before we do more. It appears they already are doing so.
  14. Artillery experts please chime in. Can the submunitions be removed or replaced? If so, I'm sure Ukraine would be more than willing to do the work of retooling the shells to their needed purpose. AND it would get rid of ordinance that we would otherwise have to pay to dispose of anyway. Win - Win.
  15. US proxies aren't the only players making moves that favor Russia.
  16. Wait. So states with higher relative numbers of undocumented immigrants get a slight bump in representation in the Electoral College. States like Texas and Florida presumably. And you want to get rid of that? Be careful of what you wish for. But by all means, continue.
