I don't have much to add other than I was making my way into the game when they were announcing the starters and I could hear them call Arch's name and was very proud of the roar from the crowd - hope that helped steer his mind for the game in the right ways. seemed to. he did everything he needed to do to get his mind right again (at least at face value)
Watching the replay of the Stars preseason game against the Blues that was on last night during our game and Adam Erne is playing on a PTO. That caused me to look to see if he could be added to the roster or if that would put the Stars over the cap (it would, but about $300k). Anyway, that caused me to look at where other teams sit with the cap and saw that both Vegas and Florida are projected to be several million over the cap. Anyone who understands these things better, what do those teams have to do and by when in order to be compliant?

That said, super excited about the season and seeing who comes out on top. Who you got? I like my Stars' chances, but it's a long season and a million things can happen.
anyone else notice that Sinclair quietly pulled the "tribute" to Charlie on Friday that was supposed to supplant the Kimmel episode? it's available on YT for anyone who really wants to watch it. I would rather punch myself in the nuts for an hour straight

I said this recently and got told I was an idiot and it wasn't enough. the thing is, it fucking worked. they flipped the fuck out when we called them weird. can't hurt to try, I guess
what do you mean? I could create something that looks exactly like that in 30 minutes or less. I'm super duper suspicious about any "evidence" coming out now, ESPECIALLY from anyone tied to dotard
It's Stars training camp week and we have our first preseason game this weekend!
Happy to change the thread title if someone has something better, btw.
My feeling going into last season was we were not as good as the 23-24 season based on our offseason moves, but I really don't know about this season. Same basic cast of characters but a new coach and some fairly ho-hum offseason moves.
Anticipated lines:
Robertson-Hintz-Rantanen
Duchene-Johnston-Seguin
Benn-Steel-Bourque
Back-Faksa-Blackwell
Lindell-Heiskanen
Harley-Lyubushkin
Bichsel-Lundkvist
Oettinger-DeSmith
Honestly that last D pairing gives me both pause and hope. Maybe the brass think Nils is ready. I was sorta surprised we didn't make another D move, but we're so tight on the cap this season it's understandable.
What are your predictions for the season?
yuuuup. i'm heading into year 47 and every stressful time in my life was under a republican and every hopeful time was under a democrat. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME
