  1. penalties called were even for the game at three aside, with one of ours being a double minor. The difference in the game is the two we scored on the pp. inversely, why we didn't lose was being 100% on the pk. we have hovered just above 30% on the PP in the playoffs so far and held COL to a bit under 14% and so far have held WPG to a hair over 6% 😶 we have held our opponent to zero conversions in 7/11 games so far - 3/4 in the WPG series alone
  2. I was curious, so here is our current roster of players under 30, and how many years until they become a UFA. Fuckin-A Hintz (6) Robertson (3) Rantanen (8) Marchment (2) Steel (3) Bourque (2) Johnston (5) Back (3) Heiskanen (4) Harley (7) Lundkvist (2) Oettinger (8)
  3. just so amazingly corrupt and we're seemingly letting it happen. any day now, right? right????
  4. I've never understood why anyone on the employee side would ever be against a union. completely understand why employers would
  5. that musta been elsewhere because ana was the only one doing it around here and not a lib.
  6. wonder which of that group will be the next mass shooter
  7. not jinxy, it's the way we've played all season Jamie could take a few less penalties and be doing 100% of what he needs to be doing. We don't rely on him for scoring anymore. We rely on him to set the tone and keep is lineups honest and the other side in check. Anything beyond that is gravy exactly. it's not alarming that Robo or Duchene or Mush haven't "gotten going." That was by far Robo's best game since returning from injury and he had a point to show for it. Mush and Duchy looked better last night and the latter also got an assist. I think the fact that we've now returned two starters and this is the first time playing with our full lineup there's gonna be a few continuity issues, but luckily others are stepping up in the meantime. that's gonna pay dividends the further we go. we've outscored the Jets 11-5 in our three win (3.67-1.67avg). I like our chances to win one of the next three.
  8. it's really not hard /twss
  9. I stop people who throw shit like that around and ask them to explain what they mean. What do you mean "lgbtq is a marxist construct? please tell what marxism is, how that applies in this scenario, and what historically lead this conclusion?" ok, that's what I want to say. What usually comes out is some version of "you don't know what fucking marxism is, shut the fuck up." lol
  10. I'm reading a lot of "Jets should have won" and "Stars got outplayed" and other such tropes. Did they, though? Seems to me they played exactly the type of game all season that leads to a win. Sustain the other teams' best effort, and then punch back and harder, faster, and in series. That's exactly what we did last night. The difference in the game is Dallas was 50% on the PP and WPG 0%. That an Otter being the better goalie. But I thought our 5v5 play was pretty damn even. Don't have time now to dig up the advanced metrics now but that was what my eyeballs saw
  11. Love our Finns. Gonna have to visit one day
  12. dumbest. fucking. timeline
  13. it was like splashing holy water on a demon, which was honestly surprising.
  14. I get you, but this is also a team sport. How do you combat this? Road Record: 1-8 in the 2025 playoffs. GAA: 4.58. Save Percentage: .861. Recent Performance: Allowed 4+ goals in 8 straight road playoff games. Previous Six Road Games: 0-6, 5.72 GAA, .835 save percentage, according to Sportsnet.ca. At the very least he has to be on a short leash. Vezina or not, this is their season - or at least very much could be.
  15. what if we want to do all three simultaneously?
  16. is there any chance in hell WPG starts Comrie or is that total capitulation? i think you have to give your team the best chance to steal a road win back before this gets out of hand. I'd consider it if I were their staff and in turn do we slot in DeSmith? in case you're wondering, like I was: Regular Season: 4 GP (2-2-0), 2.17 GAA, .903 SV%
  17. less of a favorite for me, but would catch my attention occasionally
  18. I haven't dove into all the contracts, but I would guess this is a case of Petrovic being on a 2-way contract and the rest not. Most NHL contracts only allow demotion to the minors for specific things. so even if we wanted to play petrovic in the regular season, it would have taken an injury and depletion of our nhl-only reserves before call up. those rules don't apply in the playoffs (per se) so they can basically play anyone in the system and the staff clearly deemed Petro better than Dumba or Smith. Nils still isn't cleared to play and likely won't be for these playoffs - probably better that way.
  19. yeah, but it's no Chicago, amirite?!
  20. I know he was an austin treasure, but he drove me nuts. something about him was like nails on chalkboard. give me Blue Monday and Larry Monroe any day
  21. I mean, that's also not very far from the truth
  22. I'll see if I can find a non-ss version, but someone decided to make the Stars bald and give Pete hair and I'm fucking dying
  23. why are you here then?
