  1. Ask him and his teachers. The teachers will know if he has the maturity to go on and hopefully the kid will be excited. If he is immature (for a five yo) and doesn't do well with class structure, maybe hold him back. If not, send him. Whatever you decide, don't be ones that hold back their kids for some stupid fucking sports related reason.
  2. Missed all the excitement last week due to vacation, but we got the emails saying the kids daycare was on lock down. This kind of shit would never have happened if the city council had just said no to the PUD.
  3. I’m sorry your genetic line contains so many significant defects to create such a philistine palate. Although, it would go a long way to explain the cuisine of the Upper Midwest.
  4. I didn’t tell him. He isn’t really a picky eater on anything else. He came back home and called me on it. They absolutely do not taste the same. So he stopped taking them to day care. I’m sorry your kid can’t be around them, but don’t claim something that simply isn’t true because you don’t think it’s a big deal for other people to adapt to your child’s needs.
  5. Anybody that says sunbutter or almond butter tastes the same as peanut butter is either full of shit or has the fucking palette of a 75 year old smoker. I don’t think it tastes bad necessarily, but don’t try and pull that shit on a five year old expecting no questions. Also, as far as this fight between a fictional kid and one with a peanut allergy - wouldn’t the fictitious one just have to slather themselves in Jif and rope a dope for a minute or two?
  6. Your body can remove the disc material via resorption all by itself depending on the tear with time. The PT is simply to alleviate the pain symptoms via strengthening the associated muscles to take the load off the disc to allow the time needed for it. You are young enough that I wouldn't consider surgery for a couple of months. If it was a fusion I would tell them to go take a hike, but I'm not sure on the recurrence or worsening of problems/loss of motion with a laminectomy. I would encourage you to seriously talk to them about managing the pain better for a month or so. Once the pain is okay enough to where you can sleep and think of stuff other than the pain for 10 minutes, you outlook may change.
  7. How old are you? If you are on the young end and are active, I would not get surgery. I would only consider it now if I was on the way out. I had a C5-C6 and the pain at the time had me wishing for the end. I was ready for surgery as soon as they could schedule it. After about 6 weeks, things finally calmed down and it just got to be a pain in the neck. A month of physical therapy, the pain was almost completely gone. It has been 3 years now and every now and then it aches a little. Some ibuprofen and doing my exercises and the pain goes away. Also, if you are carrying around some extra weight it would be good to lose that and do some core training to help your back as well.
  8. So Sorry to Bother You isn't futuristic after all? I know I slept through most of her books I had to read, but I really missed the part where John Galt just wanted to live in a workers commune after all.
  9. This movie is why I still love going to the theater and one of the funniest I have ever seen. I saw no thread on it, but you should go see it. Also
  10. Based on his predilections that were recently revealed, there may be a group activity planned at prison this afternoon.
  11. The fact that there are people who can't laugh at the situation where a South Carolina couple are too polite (or completely believe that "liberals" are that far out there) to stop the conversation when a guy admitted his wife has an annual 3 month lady's intermission with a dolphin goes a long way into explaining the popularity of Chuck Lorre.
  12. I trying real hard to be the shepherd but I’m fixing to change my name to Shylock.
  13. I admit it. I just said some things about Valverde that I normally reserve for those convicted of war crimes.
  14. Probably still missed the target though.
  15. This would make me happy. Therefore if a transfer happens, he will play next year at PSG or Real. And I know that Perez wants another Galactico, but Neymar would be a fucking headache on and off the field. I would poach some combination of Kante, Lewandoski, Hazard and Salah for the price Al-Khelaifi is going to let Neymar go. He takes Champions League losses seriously.
  16. Delofeu, Rafinha, Thiago and Sergi Roberto are solid players, but the point is valid as far as a superstar. I still don't get what happened with Bojan. I know about the panic attacks and all, but it's not like Iniesta didn't have similar issues at one point or another. Hopefully, Samper or Munir will develop into something, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
  17. Bull shit. That would still constitute inappropriate contact with a woman not his wife. Now if it was Peter Pan.......
  18. I would agree if the game was a club match in mid season. Not at the end of a summer tournament with no break since the season. But who knows in a one off.
  19. Their boogeyman went out in the first round. They lost their last game to get on the easy side of the bracket. They got to play Colombia without James and a wretched Sweden in the quarters. Their opponent in the semis had to play to penalties twice. They were up early and running rampant. Their captain and Lingard had easy chances to put it away in the first half. Every card fell their way until 68 minutes into the semi, including the Colombian penalty that hit the upright. They pretty much deserve every bit of criticism coming their way.
  20. They looked really good during the first ~ 35 minutes or so too.
  21. Now I can go back to liking the Brits again. No shit. Assuming a high pressure game and not a Sunday friendly If you were the opposing team and had an Englishman running one on one vs your keeper, who would you be most scared of? A. Kane B. Sterling C. Lingard D. Inanimate Carbon Rod
  22. The Croats gave up a lead late last time. Though their competition wasn't England.
  23. Mandzukic is the very definition of a rambling wreck. That isn't some sort of character twist in the past couple of games.
