  1. In a 3rd and 12 on offense I feel like we have literally no chance. On defense, I’ll give them 60%.
  2. Surely they’ll sign some 3 stars from east Texas. You know, some diamonds in the rough with chips on their shoulders who really love aggy with their hearts.
  3. Bills mafia would have been pissed that the weather was so nice.
  4. Have you ever heard of the honor code you dumb sip
  5. Did the aggy “commandant” learn about safety in the military? Surely the real Army allows you to fire artillery towards people so long as they have been warned ahead of time?
  6. If the Kinburn / left bank rumors are true (which they seem to be) then it seems pretty genius. The justification for the withdrawal from the right bank by the Russians was to consolidate their defense of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk / Luhansk. The avenues of attack would be fairly predictable; either straight south towards Melitopol and east towards Donetsk city. Either way, the Russians could effectively fight a single-front war, throw conscripted bodies into the meat grinder, and push for a “diplomatic solution” that would allow them to keep the territory they currently hold. What they didn’t plan on was that all of those forces that were just transferred across the river would be immediately attacked from the west. Now they have a dilemma. Do you leave the forces in place and try to defend Crimea and get forced to use the extremely long road from Mariupol to supply them? Because of the symbolic and strategic importance of Crimea to Russia, this seems like the most likely path. But now all of those eastern forces will not get the expected reinforcements and the supply lines are just as stretched as they used to be. The other option would be to fall back to Donetsk and give up Crimea plus all of the captured Black Sea / Azov coastline. This would be political and possibly, literal suicide for Putin. It’s a beautiful thing to see.
  7. It also fucks with their plan to transfer most of the forces that were formerly on the right bank of the Dnipro eastward towards Melitopol and Luhansk.
  8. I also think those drops have an outsize influence on his state of mind. I think he’s well aware of the struggles he has had recently and, being a freshman, lost a lot of confidence after the consecutive drops by Worthy and Sanders in the 1Q. We really need our receivers to help him out and they did anything but last night.
  9. Both of our last two opponents are very beatable. But due to a decade of disappointment, I’m going to say we go 1-1.
  10. The most charitable thing I can say here is that Charlie Strong made a habit of getting blown out by even semi-competent opponents, which we haven’t seen out of Sark so far. But we have seen a propensity to lose large leads and play totally incompetent football in the second half. In some ways, this is worse…
  11. No. Sark was calling plays with Tua, Devonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs (😐), and Najee Harris. And at least a few first rounders on the offensive line. This is the risk in hiring coordinators from big programs. You assume that they’ll be able to replicate what they did at their last stop when, in reality, 90% of their success was due to the head coach they worked under. Same reason why Belichick assistants constantly flame out as HC in the NFL.
  12. If this happens I think everyone will end up being happy with the season despite the massive frustration in all of the losses. Side note - Bijan will opt out of the bowl game for sure.
  13. Pretty sure Kansas State would have to lose another game.
  14. I’ve talked a lot of shit about PK but last night was an absolutely incredible defensive performance. Yeah we had some breakdowns here and there but we did everything we needed to do (and more) to win the game from a defensive perspective.
  15. The defense balled out last night but this picture is pretty frustrating. Why is Barron playing with a 5yard cushion on 3rd and 4. In this case giving up a TD is literally no worse than giving up a first down. We are blitzing. Play press coverage and live with the results.
  16. I hadn’t heard it until last night but apparently we script our first 20 offensive plays? This might explain why we constantly find ourselves in 3rd and long. It seems like Sark is terrified of making decisions in the moment and wants to treat play calling like it’s planning your route on Google Maps.
  17. I don’t k ow how much of it is on Ewers and how much is on Worthy but we waste at least 10 offensive snaps per game throwing deep balls that don’t have even a prayer of being completed.
  18. And we actually have increíble weapons to scheme against this defense in Whittington and Sanders. Run some fucking 10-yard in routes or quick slants. What the fuck.
  19. Sark’s body language on the sidelines when shit turns sideways tells you all you need to know. He squats down and buried his face in his play sheet and stares confused into the distance. How many times when they cut to a sideline shot is he taking to a player or another coach? Ya know…coaching? He gets overwhelmed by the moment and goes to his happy place, which is staring at a bunch of plays on a piece of paper while the game goes on without him.
  20. All I know is that whatever criteria we use to evaluate coaching candidates is wrong as fuck. I would honestly be happy to hire someone who won a bunch of championships in FCS or some shit. Anything different than what we have been doing.
  21. The problem with Herman was that his meathead QB run offense meant we were never going to recruit QBs that win at a high level. We got bailed out by Sam being a lifelong longhorn fan but it was pretty clear shit was headed downhill in his last season.
  22. The head coach is the problem. The fact that we hired a bunch of bad head coaches consecutively is our problem. Charlie - Dumbass Herman - Asshole Sark - Can’t handle the pressure Maybe we’ll get it right next time…
  23. This was the best defensive performance in the past 5 years and it was wasted by an absolutely incompetent showing on offense. Pretty unreal.
  24. Post game press conferences are just some weird ass ritual where coaches claim that clearly bad decisions were, in fact, good decisions that they would make again.
