  1. I grew up in a NATO family but I will definitely be sending my son to the Donbas trenches in ‘28!
  2. morerelaxedthanyou.jpeg But seriously, you do bring up a good point. A lot of guys who think they can just recruit a servant/sex slave/mother figure and bring a mail order bride (or equivalent) back to the US end up divorced and alone as soon as their bride gains full citizenship. Which is, in a way, poetic justice.
  3. Relax man. It’s a message board. If I knew I was going to be required to state the intention of every US man and foreign woman who get married I wouldn’t have quoted your reply.
  4. I never said that I did, or intended to do, what these guys did. I merely stated another perspective of US men going overseas and finding a wife. It’s not all “passport bros”. I do see how my comment around them being interested in your passport could be confusing though. One thing that we take for granted is our ability to travel to 90% of the world, often without the need for a visa. This just isn’t reality for most of the world. If a woman marries an American they can all of a sudden go places and see things that were previously completely out of reach. The benefits of a US passport aren’t limited to living here.
  5. Re-read the first paragraph, specifically the part about never returning to the US.
  6. I used to travel internationally a lot for work, mostly to SE Asia. I saw lots of older (50+) American guys who married younger (< 35) Malaysian/Indonesian women and started a family. Many had no intention of ever returning to the US. Basically, if you’re clearly American and there for work you’re going to receive 50x the level of interest from women over there than you would back home unless you’re in the mythical top 1% of desirability (AKA rich). They’re very interested in your passport, your earning ability, and if you’re lucky, your interests/looks/personality. If we step back and just ask “what is marriage” it’s essentially a social contract. You give me ABC benefits (companionship, financial stability, parenting partner, etc.) and I’ll give you XYZ in return. For guys who marry into another culture, the math works out better outside the US. There are definitely others who prey on foreign women’s hope to escape poverty, which is pretty disgusting. But I don’t think that everyone has bad intentions. I’m 36 and single. Dated multiple girls that could have progressed to marriage but never did, mostly because of 10000% craziness. But honestly, what makes me hesitant to marry an American are the divorce statistics. Some crazy high percentage of divorces are initiated by women and all of the divorce laws favor the women. Unless your wife is a currently incarcerated meth addiction, they’re taking the children. I think we’ve built a system where divorce is practically rewarded. I don’t necessarily blame guys for looking for something better overseas.
  7. Exactly. Russia’s idea of a security threat is a country that won’t allow themselves to be controlled politically and economically. Today’s “buffer states” eventually become “security threats” when the people get tired of eating Russian shit sandwiches. So they have to be taken over. Now they are “border regions”. Naturally, these regions need some buffer states for security reasons. This is how Russian imperialism works. Yes, Russia has been invaded a few times over the last 300 years. Cry me a fucking river. So has everyone else.
  8. Russia should do what every other country does and use their military to defend their own borders. You don’t have to attack and take over your neighbors house to make sure no one steals your car out of the garage. I imagine the 200,000+ dead and wounded in Ukraine probably would have been able to defend Belgorod. The idea that Moscow needs buffer states for their own security is pure Putin/FSB propaganda.
  9. Explain to me, if you will, why Russia “needs” buffer states for their security? They don’t need shit. Fuck rationalizing and sympathizing why they attack their neighbors. I’m more confused why people pos-repped this post.
  10. Even if the does eventually go through - which still doesn’t seem to be certain - Monahan needs to be fired immediately. Supposedly the PGAT is a player run organization so I certainly hope there is something in their bylaws that would prevent him from profiting off this shit.
  11. Prigozhin is operating like a CIA asset right now.
  12. The important part is that everyone went home safely to their families. Except for the dead victims I guess.
  13. Damn, what a way to go. RIP bro
  14. I mean, someone threw the flotation device for him. Probably would have been a lot more helpful to advise against jumping overboard in the first place though.
  15. I think Moscow Central Clinical Hospital is the last place on earth I’d want to be “cared” for if I was Lukashenko.
  16. Seamaster is about to get banned for posting this slander on TexAgs.
  17. We’re going to have the deepest WR room in a very long time next year. We could run a legit 5 WR set with Worthy, Mitchell, Whittington, Neyor, and Cook. It’s unlikely that we will considering JT Sanders may be our second best receiver but regardless, it’s going to be nice having this amount of talent to work with.
  18. I’d also take an unpaid factory job over an unpaid stay in the gulag.
  19. Crazy video of a Russian soldier surrendering to a Ukrainian drone in Bakhmut. I’d recommend watching the whole thing.
  20. It’s starting to feel like the Russian occupation could collapse much faster than I thought was possible.
  21. I’m starting to think that the whole “resistance to providing XXXX weapon system” is part of a big act. The decision to provide the weapon system is decided ahead of time behind closed doors. Then someone (Ukraine usually, but maybe Poland or some other European nation) “proposes” that the weapons could be sent. Then another nation (France / US / Germany) plays the bad cop and “resists”. This buys time to work out the logistics and training while also gauging Putin’s reaction. As long as nothing crazy happens it’s all systems go. We’ve seen this with Javelins, MLRS, tanks, Patriots, and now jets.
  22. We better win the Big 12 this year.
  23. I continue to be amazed at the overwhelming destructive power of HIMARS.
