  1. Europe at this point must know beyond any doubt that they are on their own. The post WWII world order lulled them into a sense of complacency but their people have been fighting wars for many thousands of years. Something tells me they’ll be prepared.
  2. I have no doubt that the outcome of this meeting was planned ahead of time. The goal is to force him out of office as part of a “peace” deal.
  3. This might be the day that Europe finally says “fuck it” and gets directly involved in the war.
  4. WaPo and Politico reporting that federal agencies have been advised that their employees don’t have to comply with the “What did you do last week” email.
  5. I remember him absolutely blowing up a USC WR on a crossing route when he was a freshman. I definitely expected big things out of him. After his shoulder injury he was never the same. He seemed to shy away from contact and eventually gave up on even pursuing the ball carrier.
  6. He was pre-med, no less.
  7. Is there a strategic benefit to resigning other than not being the one who has to carry out the order?
  8. Well at least the people of Gaza won’t fight a war of insurgency and unite the entire Islamic world against. That would be a disaster.
  9. “No new wars”
  10. Last Chance U is the absolute best case scenario at this point.
  11. With that in mind, I think the Rams would seem like an ideal landing spot.
  12. These funds were congressionally approved, no? It seems like any one of these companies could sue and cite the Impoundment Control Act. We are at the point where the “fully faith and credit” of the US government cannot be trusted.
  13. The DOGE team has announced that they are “halting all payments to federal contractors” per Bloomberg.
  14. She only wanted OTHER people to lose essential services! She’s one of the good ones!
  15. If he had just maintained focus on destroying the institutions of American democracy he could have relied on everyone remaining in their Fox News-induced comas. Making the products everyone relies on to live more expensive may actually cause the population to wake up.
  16. Imagine voting for “the largest deportation operation in history” when your father is in the country illegally.
  17. We couldn’t be giving BRICS a better opening if we asked them to design the plan for us. All China has to do is approach our “allies” - Colombia and Mexico for starters - and say, “it seems like there is a lot of political and economic instability in your relations with the US. What would you say to a friendly trade deal, no tariffs? Also, we can cut you a sweet deal on some military equipment if you’d like. All we need is a place to dock our ships and land our planes.”
  18. I’m not going to repost it but one of the prolific posters over there put up a Twitter link saying that “Mexican cartels have threatened to use weaponized drones against Border Patrol and military”. It seems pretty clear we’re setting up for a false flag operation to justify invading Mexico.
  19. Calls into question how they came up with their “baseline” when these numbers, and which countries they would be applied to, were announced before inauguration.
  20. If you were a member of government at ANY other country on earth, would you be seeking to strengthen ties with the US right now? What are we offering besides constant threats and harassment.
  21. Our own war on drugs failed so we want both of our neighbors to have their own war on drugs and then we can see if it works.
  22. We basically had the wheels down for the soft landing. And now we decided to go full speed into a concrete wall like the jet in Korea.
  23. Pretty cool that she also became a badge-toting immigration officer after being confirmed to a cabinet position. These really are the best people. The best.
  24. I live in Alaska and heat my shop with heating oil. Most heating oil for sale in Alaska is imported from Canada. I will probably pay $200/month, directly, as a result of this policy. For the nation at large, inflation will come roaring back. It may take a few months but I expect to see inflation tick back over 3% soon with a mortgage rates setting post-pandemic records.
  25. Would this not fall under the restraining order against holding up all federal grants and loans? Not that this administration cares about following the law. It just seems like this would be covered under the same order.
