  1. Offensive line is protecting well. He is responsible for both sacks.
  2. I understand thinking that a punt block is your best chance. But go for the block with 10 and hope for a miracle on the return instead of letting the clock run out as the ball rolls.
  3. I hate to sound so cynical, but actually reforming the program and turning it into something better than it is isn’t necessarily the goal. Force the R’s to take sides on the issue, show that the D’s have a backbone on something, advocate for Americans who have publicly expressed their concerns, etc. The Democratic Party isn’t going to win back rural America on social issues. They’re being gifted this one. It wouldn’t be hard at all to drive the wedge further between the two Republican camps and at the same time fight for something that is probably worthwhile regardless of the political gain.
  4. I haven’t read this anywhere else but I’d be surprised if I was the first to suggest it. As far a I can tell, the Vivek/Elon vs MAGA civil war over H1B visas and the effect they have on American workers is serving up an opportunity on a silver platter for the Dems to retake control of the immigration narrative. Ok Trump, you want to tighten (southern) border security? We’ll work with you on that, but as part of the deal, we want sensible reforms to the H1B program to ensure that American workers are prioritized and that they’re not used as a tool to create underpaid indentured servants that only benefit CEOs and institutional shareholders. Mr. and Mrs. Middle America - we hear you and we’re going to fight for you on this issue. Elon Musk wants to “go to war” over this? Let’s do it. That being said, there’s approximately a 0% chance they actually do this for fear of upsetting faculty lounges along the coasts.
  5. The official party line is that the MAGA base needs to fall in line and be happy with whatever they get. We’ll see how it works out.

  7. So the official position of the “America First” party is that Americans are dumb and incapable of skilled labor. Interesting. I bet all the unemployed and underemployed engineering/CS graduates of the last 5 years probably feel differently.
  8. Oh how the turn tables. I wonder how MTG became such an authority on the intricacies of managing and staffing a large corporation? Maybe it was from her experience as a “part time coach” at a CrossFit gym? Poor, uneducated MAGA voters are learning just how little they matter. Like Trump said - “I love the uneducated!”
  9. The Trump-Elon relationship may crash and burn more quickly than any of us expected.
  10. Tennessee looks like they are running in mud.
  11. This gif is the greatest accomplishment of the 2024 aggy football team.
  12. You know ol Mack absolutely hates this. Being replaced by a guy with skins on the wall won’t be good for his ego.
  13. Sounds like the amnesty plan has limits.
  14. I still think if he wasn’t carrying the gun and the fake ID they would have nothing. If all he wanted was for his manifesto to be out there, he had five days to mail / email it to a news outlet. Everything suggests (to me) that he wanted to be caught.
  15. Ditching the gun is the most basic element of getting away with it. Like others have said, maybe he wanted to be caught?
  16. I think it’s clear that his selection of bus travel was very intentional. Much less stringent screening than air travel. He probably used the same fake NJ drivers license that he used at the hostel. They may be able to track him to a specific outbound bus, but then what? Which stop did he get off on? How’s the security footage in Bumfuck, West Virginia?
  17. Unless they get a hit on the DNA from the water bottles it seems possible that he may actually get away with it. Insane that someone could be so disciplined for 10 days in the most surveilled city in the world as to not show their face. I imagine he’ll be caught eventually, though. Usually people can’t keep their mouth shut even when it’s their freedom at stake.
  18. Get ready to hear about how Texas somehow did Cade Klubnik wrong and he’s out for revenge.
  19. Saban would have switched QB at halftime. Sark is too loyal to Quinn.
  20. We also had a punt blocked last week that could have cost us the game if not for a miraculous goal line stand by our defense. It’s clear that our special teams aren’t well coached. Time for a change.
  21. This makes sense but I think the challenge is that Russia has a pretty rough history with Islamists in their own country. If they cut a deal with the new Syrian government it’s only going to embolden the groups in the Caucasus. Either way, this is a problem that they definitely did not want to deal with.
  22. Do they attack the western coast now? I know the maps say that those cities are still under “Syrian government” control but I’m not sure that has any meaning at this point. Who is going to coordinate the defense? The wild card is Russia’s naval/air base in Latakia. I’m not an expert but I’m guessing you can’t pack up your stuff and leave in a few days, especially when the air space all around is you is unsafe. Could we actually see this fall as well?
  23. Iran, and to a lesser extent Russia, are looking pretty pathetic right now. The network of Iran-backed armed groups are being absolutely demolished - first by Israel and now by the Syrian rebels. The remaining fighters are probably going to look to cut a deal sooner rather than later. It will be interesting to see the ripple effects that this has on the region and globally.
