  1. I'm going to look for one at one of the booths at the mall (or anywhere) and make it my mission to red X out the Not on the front and on the back stencil the words Every Accusation is a Confession!
  2. Do you know how many kids cut themselves with the power saw in shop class while horsing around? It’s why a lot of shop teachers are missing multiple digits or have mini hit dog fingers.
  3. I don't know that the fix is in to win or lose--but I'd definitely say the fix is in to make games competitive for the excitement. UConn has dominated in a way that doesn't allow for refs to keep it close. UConn is solid, inside and out. Their bigs are active and attack. SDSU has size in mass, so they're not going to get pushed around like Miami, and they play the passing lanes well and hustle. Miami had one guy really manning the middle and against the Huskies, that wasn't going to cut it. SDSU is going to need to play consistently for a full game and not have any scoring droughts.
  4. He was distracting them so they could flee. However, the wife held up and watched the scene with her daughters which may have cost them all their lives. He pretty much died in vain, since the children all died too, and she looks to maybe getting hitched in the end. Really did remind me of Dances with Wolves--especially the scenery and the journey by a lonesome, ex civil war officer. Thought it was a good movie. Seeing it after all the bodies of Native American school children in Canada is just another addition to the atrocities against humanity that non natives committed.
  5. Heard 4 dudes get shot the other day a few miles away. Over 50 rounds, 3 dead and 1 wounded. Strip club shooting that didn't make the national news. I've only heard that one other time (associated with a shooting) and that was when I was outside talking to a neighbor and heard what I thought were firecrackers--so many of them. Turned out a guy was shot over two dozen times by officers a few miles away. They wanted him deader than dead. I hear gun shots daily, but some are poachers and others just firing. What's wild is that I hear similarly when I stay at a friends million dollar home in Dallas over Christmas. Would think a nice neighborhood would spare you the noise from the plebes but nope. Gunfire is just par for the course in an American's daily life.
  6. That is a slaver's mentality. They knew it was wrong but they were making money, so....the rest was just common sense suppression. Restrict their eduction, for God's sakes don't let them vote, and sell Christianity the whole way.
  7. Or we could just make the rich pay equal taxes for the 80%+ of the money they possess. The middle class already pays their share, and you can’t take money from the poor.
  8. They weren't brainwashed. The media reinforced what they already believed. The modern media is basically choose your own media algorithm. People create their own echo chambers. And if it's not Fox, then there's a host of others that will take their money. They were already racist, xenophobic, and every other judgmental, narcissistic asshole that also want American education and beliefs to reflect their a la carte algorithm. Because that's what they cherrypicked for themselves. But the idea that society went from slavery--Civil War--Jim Crow laws--separate but equal--equality (snort)--racist brainwashing (guffaw)--overthrow the government is a fallacy. It's always been racist--overthrow the government because you're threatening my divine rights to supremacy if you don't accept my racism. And accept is too light of a word. Lynchings were a thing, and lynch by cop is still a thing.
  9. In college, I used to work for a guy that carried a derringer in his boot. Then one day, we were working on an old slate roof and he almost fell off. Of course, the only part of his body I could grab from the ladder was his lower legs, to stop his slide. Surprised nobody fell off the roof or got shot.
  10. It's also painful because the better team didn't win. That free-throw disparity was huge, but also, Texas choked. Miami attacked and Texas settled. I saw Allen gassed at the 8 minute mark--thought he was going to stumble at the top of the key on defense. Carr lost his lift and some quicks with his injury, and the rest just went cold. The officiating was still garbage, but Texas should have won that outright instead of leaving it to the officials. Keep going inside. It's easier taking the outside shots but no fouls are called and nobody was really boarding down the stretch. Like nobody. That was a one man boxout by Cunningham and there's no way they should've been beaten by one Miami guy under the boards. Same happened on a missed Miami free-throw earlier. They just were getting beaten to the loose ball. Disu was extremely missed. And the tie ups the refs gave instead of fouls were shit.
  11. Sloppy passing by Texas too. Just let the game get away. Regardless of the refs, Texas let up.
  12. Some bad calls but also Texas quit trying grinding and settled for outside shots when they weren’t falling.
  13. Guess Texas isn’t going to try and foul out Miami’s interior.
  14. Hoping Miami made their circus shots last night against Houston. I just can't see them making some of those shots consistently. They also shot some airballs, so they have lapses, which is when Texas will need to make them pay. And unlike Houston, that interior is going to be contested.
  15. I'm hoping that Miami made all their circus shots last night against Houston.

My feelings--no way Texas is heading into the EE without a head coach. That'd be damn embarrassing for Texas and everybody losing to Texas.
  17. wow--ours is seeded 2,3,4,5, and the other side is 3, 5,6, 9. KSU should be happy. That Creighton/San Diego St game though.
