  1. I hate Julio’s chips and salsa. The only thing I can taste is the MSG.
  2. Yeah…camera phones and social media make he said/she said ordeals fairly clear these days.
  3. I have a cracked phone screen right now and didn’t see the i in iBonds. Carry on.
  4. If they’re shifting out of big banks as well, then likely cash. Didn’t see anything about where the money went.
  5. But bonds aren’t cash equivalent because, as what happened in ‘22, they can lose 20% just like stocks.
  6. Berkshire sold basically half their stake in AAPL. DAMN
  7. they'll surely be happy to DeRidder her
  8. No doubt. Moreso saying it can get back to that 2021 peak a lot faster than it took to get from the '22 low to current levels. Stairs up, elevators down.
  9. I see a beautiful setup for H&S pattern there. That’s what’s disturbing
  10. Absolutely. One reason why I stated several pages ago that having a 3-ish year cash buffer (be it in actual cash, cash equivalents, cash value in life insurance, or other non-market assets) is a bigtime winning strategy.
  11. One of the timeless things I learned in school...always keep an eye on the transports. Always. Glad that was my sector in the Portfolio Mgmt class where we actively managed a live 10 figure endowment portfolio.
  12. Some of us got made fun of mercilessly for a while saying the recession is coming and a bunch of this economy is a sham. Seriously, go look at the sales lots of every heavy equipment dealer you drive by. They're practically parking scissor lifts on top of the other scissor lifts to make space.
  13. I think part of the reason the tightening took so long to be restrictive is because there was so much damn $$ supply in the system. Took a long long while for it to circulate enough times that it finally started to dry up with the rates higher. I think they should have raised a full point on the first one, and I said it back then. Citi just put out a note and said they are now thinking the FED cuts 100bps by Nov. That's like staring down the barrel of .45 and holding up a notebook hoping it will stop the bullet.
  14. He gets the twisties thinking about it...
  15. These two posts make me think that Intel is a lot like GE in a stock/company valuation sense. Just a big, laborious behemoth that got caught behind the 8ball
  16. What are your thoughts on the Theory of Everything, and did you, in fact, prove it?
  17. Exactly. He probably thinks Danks and Diamond just needed some more time til they got us to the promised land, or that not trading Profar for Giancarlo “Mike” Stanton was a solid move for the future. don’t forget this is the same cool guy that uses Fecals and Foreskins as names for the Cowboys’ division rivals.
  18. I still go out to Rule every year for dove season. Big extended family party weekend for us. Always good times.
  19. Yep. Utilizing Monte Carlo with historical returns from different periods is far more useful than using an average rate of return. Specifically, find some time frames where there are 2 years in a row of negative market returns the year after you retire. Want to see if you'll run out of money, test against withdrawals early in your retirement in a negative market environment.
  20. My Grandmother was born in Munday and a bunch of her family settled in Haskell, Rule and Rochester.
  21. Been around the world and Baba Yaga....Just tryin' get our ass kicked
  22. Damnit. That should’ve been immediately passed up the wing. What- a wasted opportunity in the midfield.
