I’m not really following the thread but if no one has mentioned it, tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day. We’ve had a break from the heat and tomorrow is supposed to be sunny with a high of 74F. You couldn’t ask for better weather.
Shouldn’t have thrown it at all. Scoring a TD would be nice but you absolutely can’t risk a turnover. You’re in FG range. You want 6 but you can’t take risks that might cost you 3.
I went into this rooting for the Huskers because I’d like to see them start pulling their weight in the conference. Rutgers is doing a better job than they are. But after they left themselves vulnerable to an upset after their final possession. I switched to rooting for Cincy. You got this, go get it done. They asked for it. But you fucked it up. There’s no excuse.
Such a stupid throw. You got greedy.
What’s the message specifically? Who’s the messenger? Who’s the target audience? What’s the medium to reach them?
Its easy to say what you said. Just have a message and hammer it home over and over again. Easy peasy, right? Just find the magic bullet and fire it. The problem seems easy to solve when you put it that way. But there’s a big problem if you can’t settle on one message, can’t reach the audience who needs to hear it, and won’t convince them if you do.
You’re skipping over a fair bit of history there. Remember that period of time between Brown and Hayes when OSU was referred to as the “Graveyard of Coaches?” From Widdoes to Fesler, it wasn’t a exactly a who’s who of coaching acumen. Fesler’s bumbling of the Snow Bowl opened the door for Woody.
Earle Bruce was a better coach than John Cooper. Cooper was just a better recruiter. Cooper once said, “You gotta recruit players who can play better than you can coach.”(10/11/21 - If that date fell on a Monday then it was on the Buckeye Roundtable radio show). You might counter by saying recruiting is part of coaching and that’s true, it’s one of the most important parts. But Earle was a mentor to both Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer and all three of them have winning records against Michigan. Earle’s impact has arguably been a more crucial part of the ongoing success of the Buckeyes than Cooper’s. John Cooper’s biggest contribution to the program was to modernize the recruiting strategy. As an X’s and O’s coach he mostly delegated and he was questionable as a motivator, unquestionably a disaster when it came to the most important game of the regular season going 2-10-1 in The Game.
He doesn’t know how to color in the American flag. He has to copy from a toddler. Even if he instinctively tried to color in the Russian flag, he fucked that up too.
First I’m hearing about it. This is another reason why it’s always a good idea to cite a source. You can reach a wider audience that way. Now your post is just seen and immediately forgotten.
