  1. Loading in cincy this morning and headed south to Alabama.
  2. And if they weren’t so nice and generally peaceful they’d cut your throat and leave you bleeding in a ditch. Lol
  3. No CR. Unfortunately there are a lot of inbred mouth breathers in this industry that call them rag heads implying that they are Muslim. The ignorance is staggering. What most people don’t realize is that the Sikh and Punjabi trucking groups are some of the most organized and active in fighting against overbearing regulations and for improvements for the drivers. I’ve met and talked with several of them and they are pretty amazing people. The story of their people and the history of their struggles is fascinating. They are a true warrior class that does what it takes to insure their survival. And their community bonds and support are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Tldr: Sikh’s are cool.
  4. Found it. https://www.google.ca/amp/dailysikhupdates.com/punjabis-control-40-trucking-california-60-canada/amp/
  5. I’ve never seen it but Sikhs are a huge portion of the trucking industry. I saw an article last week that I can’t find said up to 60% of Canadian trucks were Sikh. So I think it’s not so much they are bad drivers, it’s a numbers thing.
  6. No escorts. But I’m permitted for PA MD WV VA TN GA AL MS LA TX if I was just taking this across texas I probably would have outlawed it.
  7. I’ve hauled better paying legal loads. Small stuff like this isn’t a big difference in pay. There was 15’ 8” wide load that I wanted and it paid nearly double what I normally haul for.
  8. Exton, PA to Irving, TX. 9’ 9” wide. Lol They make us work our way up to bigger loads. Main O/D guy isn’t back until next week. I’m going to talk to him and see if I can get bumped up a couple of steps due to experience. My former dispatcher said I can use him as a reference to verify my past experience.
  9. I went with blue on my toes for this trip but they are usually chrome. (For the added horsepower) the the water was a little murky and the beach had sea grass, I believe, because of some storms that passed through. They were nice and blue again on Saturday. Also we weren’t hanging out at a beach bar with attendants to rake it up. We were in Casa Icaco right behind la palapa de mar. Palapa sol was a little farther out of town. Pura Vida has the best margaritas we found on the island. They are made with rosemary. And my favorite meal was at https://www.laparrilladejuanholbox.com 6 people with apps, meals, deserts, and drinks. $6600mx including tip. You can eat a lot cheaper but I thought it was worth it. Luuma was also incredible. It’s a steak house and the service and food was top notch.
  10. Ps. I’m posting drunk from Isla Holbox. Anyone wanna buy a truck? I may not come back .
  11. There are a lot of guys that carry Honda run quiet generators and ac units. That and an expar heater works fine. The Honda generators are treated as disposable. When they break or quit working you just buy another one. Much cheaper than the continued maintenance on a apu
  12. This is the dirtiest, sketchiest, unfriendliest, hardest place to get to. I would recommend that everyone stay away and never advise anyone to come here again. And if you do tell someone to come here definitely don’t come next Christmas. Rudolph waiting on the barco. My favorite mural When Miguel brings you 20 ice cold Tecate lights after fixing the broken water line that floods one of the bedrooms at 10:00pm on Christmas Eve. You drink 20 ice cold Tecate lights. Really helps keep you hydrated. Christmas day. ALL DAY!
  13. I don’t. I thought about it but decided against for now.
  14. You know Gadsden? I went to JAX State. Graduated high school in Saks.
